not sure what the beef is with the plastic case. My 3gs was way tougher then my 4 & 4s have been. And felt good in your hands too

My thoughts also. People bitched about the glass breaking, then about the metal bending and scuffing.

I don't care if it's plastic or not. I want it to work like a Apple product should work, have very good battery life, have great features that others do not (something which the 5 is not doing right now), and have a screen size that appeals to me (again something that the 5 does not have).

The ironic thing is, a lot of the complainers are perfectly happy to then go out and buy plastic cases.

I currently have a plastic case on my iPhone 4, I don't even notice the different feeling in day-to-day use, feels no different to the glass really.

So you buy your phones based solely on the material the body is made of? Really?

You sound surprised -- but you should know that Apple has always emphasized quality design and materials in its products and that attracts a lot of customers.

The body isnt the sole reason. I also like iTunes and the AppStore. However, a cheap plastic body is enough to push me over the edge and try something else--since there are many functions that Android does as well or better.

That being said, I don't think the next iPhone will *only* be in plastic.

Did you skip the 3G and 3GS then?
