Serious question....how do I get to my files if I have no internet?

Find them in your physical storage filing system, next to the pen and papers :p

Dark Mode like what OSX Yosemite got

Multiple App Windows on iPad

More options on Control Center

Multiconmover
Safari download manager
Video pane
Cctoggles
Iwidgets (home screen widgets)
Itouchsecure
Bio lockdown

Some of the jailbreak tweaks I had when I had my iPhone 5s jail broken.

Ability to customise control centre.
Attach multiple files to e-mail.*
Decent filesystem implementation.*

* I've resigned myself to the fact that iOS will probably never have these, but doesn't stop me wanting them.

My heart isn't broken over not being able to customize control center, though it would be nice.

Attaching multiple files to an email is absolutely necessary and I'm shocked that it hasn't been worked out by now--but with no file system I'm not sure how it could work.

but...

iCloud Drive is essentially a file system. It doesn't give access to anything but user created files--but that's really all anybody wants in the first place. Once in place, if Apple doesn't put in the ability to attach files directly from iCloud Drive (multiple files at that) I will be more than disappointed.

Apple wants you to buy multiple iPads so they arent going to give you multiple user accounts :p:D

OK, but a guest account would be nice. When I give my iPad to someone just so they could check something online, I don't want them to read my emails or iMessages. Or log into my Facebook profile. Or see my contact list. An easily switchable guest account (guest mode?) would solve it.

totally agree, that's the perfect compromise

Just curious to see what people wanted in iOS 8 that apple didn't give us this time. I felt that they fulfilled a wide variety of requests that overall really improved the operating system.

A big missing feature for me though was up next, something I've been waiting for since it was released in iTunes many versions ago.

x-ray vision camera ;)

So, things iOS 8 actually didn't get...

  • Landscape orientation lock.

Wait....you can't use the hardware switch next to the volume keys to lock either orientation in iOS 8 anymore?? I've been using that to lock the screen orientation for my iPads for years.

Guest Mode (one that can be quickly toggled through Control Center) would be awesome. That's probably why some, myself included, wanted multi-user accounts but in reality just wanted Guest Mode.

I'd like the ability to have an alert when i go from an area that gets no coverage to an area that at least has a minimal signal.

[Apple probably doesn't get many requests to enhance the phone aspect these days :) ]

Too many to list. Read the link in my sig. I agree with pretty much everything written

Yeah. That's not happening.

I've played with other people's iPads from time to time and they're nice toys, but I'm *not* going to share my 'environment' with my family. My younger daughter would have seven screenfuls of Angry Bird variants and a selection of One Direction wallpapers on there within moments.

This is not how family sharing works, you could for example make a family account with your daughter and she'd be able to purchase apps on your credit card. All while you get a notification for permission to do so of course. You're not forced to share your entire 'environment'. Multiple user accounts is not going to happen period. iOS is entirely build around single user experience.

No, I appreciate what family sharing is about, and it sounds like a Good Thing.

But the absence of multiple user accounts within iOS means that until such time as I go out and buy his'n'hers'n'hers'n'hers iPads (ie never) then the device is useless to me. I *need* that 'single user experience', but I need it for four users at the same time!

more dynamic wallpapers.

Hope debs can finally create some for the App Store.

doubt it, though.

The one thing iOS is still missing is proper manual controls for the camera built in without now having to rely on an external developer.

I own a Note 3 and iPhone 5. There are things on my Note that Apple has and/or does better than Android. One is the music player and ITunes Store. I am not a fan of Google Play.

However, about the only two things missing for me to ditch Android is larger screen(love my 5.7") and insert multiple documents to an email.

I also own a Note III and iTunes is the only thing i crave for. I use google play music to sync all my music but I have over 200+ movies and 20 TV shows that I would like to enjoy on my 5.7" Note III and 12.2 NotePro instead of relying on my Mac and AppleTV. All other iOS features are irrelevant as Android 4.4.3 with TouchWiz meet all my business needs daily. **Note to mention I get three days of battery life Vs iPhone**
