I have a 13” M1 iPad Pro 1 TB and I just ordered a 13” M5 iPad Pro 1 TB with nano texture glass. I hope I don’t regret the nano texture glass.
I have the 13” M4 with nano texture and I love it. It does seem to catch smudges easily, but spending 30 seconds with the cleaning cloth every day or two makes it look brand new again. The anti-reflection is amazing, and writing on it with the Apple Pencil Pro feels so smooth.

11" 2018 iPad Pro Wifi+Cell 64GB... Upgrading to new 11 iPP 2025...

If my battery was lasting longer, I would try to get one past this one (a hypothetical 2026/27 iPP) but tons of worthwhile stuff in this. Just wish it had 16GB RAM base (without paying the insane markup for a 1TB+ model, but 12GB over 8GB in the M4 should give me some wiggle room.

Upgrading from my 12.9" 2018 pro to the 2tb glossy M5 iPad, I loved drawing on the 2018 model and its been a good little unit for the last 7 years but as soon as iPadOS 26 released it started to show its age. Also picked up the Magic Keyboard and Pencil Pro, cant wait to see the improvements over the 2018 model. ☺️

11 inch Pro 3rd gen and no. iPad upgrades are an as needed upgrade now so only when the other runs out of space or stops working.

Any mention of PWM flicker free mode like the iPhone 17s? If not, I’m stuck on my 2018 iPP for another year or two…. Maybe the iPad is no longer for me. My last hope is that the next iPad Air gets promotion and keeps its non-OLED screen.

will be trading in my 12.9" 256GB wifi M1 ipad pro bought on launch day back in 2021 for a 11" 256GB wifi M5 ipad pro. got tired of the heft and size of the bigger screen ipad, need something to easy to carry around for work. the RAM bump on the lower models pushed me for this decision.

I have the 4th gen (2020, pre-M1) iPad Pro 12.9”. Screen is cracked (small) but it’s starting to cause some discoloration and iOS 26 runs like garbage on it so it’s about time.

I’m not looking forward to also needing to buy the new keyboard and new Apple Pencil, I’ve had these since the first gen iPad pro.

I’m going to limp this along for a few more months though and wait to see if there is going to be a new Air with a 120hz screen in the spring. If not, I’ll suck it up and get the M5 13” pro but 120hz is the only “pro” feature I need, and would love to save the money and go with the Air instead if they do it.

I have the 2020 iPP 11" and it's held up amazingly well and is in great condition. I've resisted upgrading until now because I'll have to buy a new, compatible Magic Keyboard to replace this one (which is a PITA) but the temptation of the new machines is starting to erode my willpower. Would love to have an OLED upgrade and I realized that the Apple Pencil USB-C is compatible with the newer machines.

Anyone know if it works with the nano texture display option? I don't want to have to buy a Pencil Pro...

When I got my M4 iPad Pro a few months ago, I opted for the higher end model with 16GB of RAM and the extra CPU core just for longevity sake (and the nano texture option). The M5 will have a decent spec bump, sure, but the M4 is no slouch. There are very few things that come close to maxing it out. I use it at work daily with many different apps running on different stages. I game heavily on it at home via cloud gaming and native games such as Ark Ultimate Mobile and COD mobile and there are zero stutters or frame drops. There would have to be some amazing surprise addition to the M5 iPad to make me think about upgrading. Likely, I won’t be looking to upgrade until the M7 or M8 timeframe.
If "I" were "You" I would NOT upgrade. You have a fine piece of tech that will bring you joy for many years to come. I absolutely adore my M1 iPad Pro 2tb/cell. I literally have my life and then some on it. All AAA games including Ark Ultimate Mobile and COD mobile AND WarZone. If you didn't download WarZone as of May this year then you're out of luck... I buy the AAA to support the Devs and encourage more to follow suit. I have so many pro apps on here too; from ProCreate, ProCreate Dreams, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Notability, GoodNotes, Notion, SketchBook Pro, AutoCad, SketchUp and sooo much more. My device is my productivity work horse. I do art digitally, draft design, authorship - compose and produce artwork for published work, video edit for several channels I manage, engineering design draft work, tutor, and provide online consultation via video conferencing ALL on my TRUSTY M1 iPad Pro. I still have 1.27 TB of space remaining. I am amazed. Wish they offered a 4 TB variant, that way I'd keep it for at least 7 - 8 years. Processing power is reaching its physical limits. Until new material is used or a breakthrough architecture is invented at the wafer level then new innovations will be lateral. Which I'm ok with.

how big of Black Friday deal do you think the new M5 iPad Pro will get? $100 off on 256GB, 512GB models, and $150 off on 1TB and 2TB models?

I have an M2 iPad Pro 12.9". I really went all out on it when I got it thinking it was my long term iPad, so 2TB, cellular, the whole thing. But man do I like teh current Magic Keyboard ALOT more than the one available for mine. So I'm thinking about the M5. But the loaded M2 I have is only worth 460 bucks with apple trade in which is kinda crazy to me.

I have an 11" M4 512gb. No plans to upgrade. My M4 is more than ample for how I use my iPad. Content consumption and device / network management. Perfect compliment to my M4 Pro MacBook.

They usually only offer gift cards. I think it was a $100 gift card for an iPad purchase last year. That was across all versions of the iPad. You will still pay full price for the iPad. They want you to use the gift card on the next purchase.

I have an 11” M1. I’ve been wanting to move up to the 13” but not in any hurry.
