I left my Mini 6 on 17.7.1, as I prefer it to 18 (having helped others to update their M1 iPads.) Lack of storage also made updating a PITA (64GB.)

Hopefully the next Mini is out before it starts being incompatible with many/any apps. Then certain content can go onto the new one to clear space and make this Cellular Mini with sim slot a travel iPad.

I have an original iPad Air from 2013. Stopped using it some years ago when it stopped getting updates at iOS 12. Keep debating if I need a new iPad as most stuff I can do on my iPhone.

Have toyed with the idea recently of getting either a mini or the basic A16 iPad. But again not sure I have user case for. Might be better just replacing my ancient windows laptop, eight years old now with a MacBook Air.

As of today I have a 10th Gen iPad , an M1 iPad Pro 12.9” (going to sell it in a few days) and an M4 iPad Pro 11”.
My son has an 11th Gen iPad and my wife a 9th Gen iPad …

iPad Pro M1 with magic keyboard. I don’t think I will upgrade soon, cause the new iPad requires new magic keyboard as well.

Bought 11 Pro M4 with MK one year ago, no need to upgrade this year and probably for the next 3-4 years (I bought my previous 12.9 2018 in September 2019).

Just got a M4 pro today to replace my M1 Pro that I broke today. Sad day as I had no intention to replace the M1. Got the M4 new for $799. 11 inch 256

I am one of the few people who actually uses the wide lens on the back of my M2 iPad Pro. Apple took that lens off starting with the M4, so even though I might consider getting an M6 I won’t get rid of this one because I want that lens.

My 2018 11” iPad Pro has served 7 years of flawless duty. Nothing has turned my head until just recently. I just ordered a 1TB M4 with nano screen at a big discount rather than a base M5.

iPadOS 26 is great but was a bit buggy and slow. I’ve since updated to the 26.1 beta and honestly it’s WAY better - this old iPad is still perfectly usable now - even the battery life is good again. Almost making me regret upgrading it. But, it’ll do some things fast and then really lag on something else. Looking forward to the power of a more modern device - and that screen!

I jumped from the 2018 "11 Pro to the 11" M2 Pro and could barely tell the difference, 2018 Pro is such a great device.

Ha don’t tell me that!

Yes, this model is perhaps the best/most long-lived tech I’ve ever bought. Even the battery life is still pretty reasonable given 7 years of everyday use (so long as you keep it separate from the Pencil and Magic keyboard which are both prone to draining it during sleep).
