I'm looking for a good railroad simulator that would be pretty easy to use. It's actually for my 80 year old father.

My Mac is a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018), 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB - macOS Mojave 10.14.1.

I don't mind if it's a paid for or a free software, as long as it runs smoothly on my machine then I will be happy with it.

Many thanks!

simulating driving a train?

or building a railroad?

Perhaps you're wondering if Railway Empire is any good?

Sid Meier's Railroads is another option.

I don't know much about the driving games-- trainz, train simulator, etc.
