iPod touch What is Apple Actually giving 2G owners with iOS 4?

just wondering if there is a possible way that you can download iOS4 for 3g ipod or iphone (eg. from a torrent) and install it? or is that unrealistic?

im thinking about getting either an iphone 4 or a 3gs on the cheap and simply using my ipod for music but it'd be nice to know thanks
