I bought an Apple Watch yesterday. 38mm Sports Black, so welcome to the club I guess?

I immediately upgraded to watchOS2. I really doubted that I would enjoy the Apple Watch but after wearing it for a day I must say it's a really fun experience.

Things I really like:
- Nightstand
- Personalization options
- Siri

Things they absolutely have to do:
- Notes App (At least read-only and checklist support. I'm using "Bring!" for now, but I want Apples Notes App!)
- Make the iPhone App less redundant
- Include the ability to set single Images as Watchface background (Without the requirement to sync a photo album)

So I think watchOS2 was a big step into the right direction. Now it's up to the developers. Apple has much to do for watchOS3 but I think they know that and wanted to focus on dev features so we finally get great apps. I really need Notes, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. The Messenger should hopefully drop within the next few weeks. If I get this three Apps it should justify my purchase just fine.

Question: Whats with the airplay icon in the settings check? Any idea?

Outside of Nightstand and apps loading more quickly, things are mostly the same, for me. I haven't fully tested Siri to know the difference, yet.

Things I like:

Nightstand
70 seconds
Colourful complications
Photo faces
Just making sure mine is working correctly... in nightstand mode we have to touch the face to see the time... correct? And is there a way to show what the charge % is while in the nightstand mode?

I'm waiting for a sports app that adds a complication with a sports ticker for scores of my favorite teams. I'm enjoying the quicker response on native apps like Dark Sky. Fitness resting calories burned has been fixed. Heart rate monitor frequency has been fixed. I can't wait until 3rd party health apps are updated to work with the fitness rings. I use my watch for my workouts everyday so the watch is really useful for me during excercise. I also go the a beach that I drive on all the time. It's really important to know the tide because I don't want to get stuck on the beach with my vehicle in the water. I use "Tides" to quickly get the current tide height and the times for low and high tide throughout the day right on my watch.

Thx for that tip on the tides app! I boat a lot on the upper hudson river below troy, ny which can have a 5 foot tidal height difference depending on the time of day. Wander to far out of the channel and its easy to run aground at the lower tides. Now i have the tide icon on my watch . While on my small boat the less I have to take the 6+ out of my pocket or boat bag the less chance the iphone is going swimming (ask me how I know this ).

You can also tap on the nightstand (i tap on the side of the night stand with closed fist) or move the watch slightly and the time comes on!

I first purchased an Apple Watch over the summer. Loved it at first, but was frustrated due to the limited capabilities and limited apps and app functions. I eventually returned it. When os2 was announced, I figured I'd give it another shot as I thought some of the things I was frustrated with were going to be fixed (I.e, email replies, customized faces, etc). I was also hoping for more mainstream apps to be available. I made the plunge yesterday and bought one again and updated to os2. Besides the email replies, customized faces and nightstand feature, I'm not experiencing much noticeable changes and there still seems to be a real lack of apps.

So what is everyone enjoying the most out of the new update? I'm hoping I am just overlooking or not recognizing some new useful changes.

I like the watch features like phone, email, texting, notifications. Notification causes me to use my iPhone less often. Today I was eating and the notification came, my hands were not clean so instead of taking out the phone from pocket and press the home button of iPhone I just looked at my watch without touching it. It was a convenience, health ring motivates me to move more and achieve goals.
