Since I've gotten my iPhone 4:

Sent: 332 MB
Received: 2.3 GB

Is this high? Or is everyone's about the same? I'm glad I stayed with unlimited. :D

Surely some of that is WiFi, which doesn't count against your data usage.

Check your AT&T account to see how much 3G data you're using.

I'm sticking with unlimited when I set up my plan this week. In the beginning I won't use too much data, but once Hulu starts letting iPhones stream content, I am going to be using tons of bandwidth.

Thats not too high OP, I too have 2.2 GB of received data, and got that high because of MMS and lots of YouTube videos, I am using less now since im adapting to Wi-Fi, it has drastically improven my battery life also.

I use wifi most of the time at my house but when I'm away from home I use youtube a lot and do a lot of web browsing.

I'm not on an iPhone 4 bur I can already tell my data usage is going to be way higher on the 3GS than on my BB Bold. I hope my 1 gb data plan is sufficient (I don't tether).

Those of you with over a gig of data usage, are you tethering or streaming a lot of music/video?

One question, in the myWireless app it shows three Data items, mine are 54.14M, 3.8M and 2.07M, respectively. Any idea what they represent?

Have unlimited, after 10 days:

Cellular Data
Send: 8.2 MB
Receive: 52.1

Only use Wifi at home.

I'm not tethering (I have a grandfathered unlimited plan) and I dont stream music. I use YouTube a couple of times a week. That's it.

According to AT&T, my total data usage is 139.61 MB's I'm pretty surprised. I've used a TON of IM'ing and watched quiet a few YouTube clips. And BeeJiveIM uses up data instead of texts, but if that's what they say.

Uh oh. I have a 1 GB data plan. I wonder if I will need to up my plan. I don't stream music and very rarely use youtube (I see myself watching a youtube video maybe once or twice a month at most... probably will go months without using it), but I email and use the web a lot. I'm also using a few apps that obviously use data, but I'm not sure how much each time I access them.

I just realized that I've never reset my data count on my phone so that might be some data from my 3GS because I restored from a backup. My AT&T account only says 811MB for this month.

13 days into my billing cycle and I've used 77mb. I have WiFi at home and at work so I can't say I'm surprised. I kept my unlimited plan until I can see how iOS4 changes my usage with background audio and such.
