Get an email, open email app.

1st thing you have to do is hit the back button to get to the email account list.
then click the account you want
then click the email, read it
then respond
then back
then back...

unreal this is still as day 1 in 07'

Not unless you leave your app in the "all inboxes folder" shows all inboxes in 1 place in the email app. It's been there a while!!

A Streetview equivalent for Apple Maps

Its time for a fleet of camera equipped Apple cars to hit the streets worldwide. The Apple Air Force is already darkening the skies above the cities to give us 3-D maps.

I don't follow. I have iCloud, exchange and imap accounts.
What exactly are you suggesting?

In the mail app, there's the all inboxes section. It's been there since iOS 4 at least.

Well yes, I know this.

But, if you have a email box open- say exchange reading an email; then you close the app. As soon as you get an email with another account, it opens in the old account (in this case exchange) and you have to hit the back button, hit the new account, hit the email.

That's 3 clicks for a new email, and 3 clicks back for another.

3- Definitely! It needs to happen, and it can't be all that hard, but then again, Windows phone doesn't do it either.

Actually, iOS6 does this for Facebook events (shows accepted/declined/maybe/no response)

Edit: oops, misunderstood. Read it the first time as invitation status. Yeah it would be great.

Closing the apps that are running is so tedious and not user friendly. I prefer it if you could just flick the app out of the multitasking tray to close them instead of having the hold until it wiggles, press the little negative sign, and repeat for all the app you want to close. Or better yet, when you double tap the home button to bring up the tray, and hold down on the second tap, a cool animation of all your apps being sucked down an imaginary drain and off the screen (towards your thumb/home button) would be sweet. Closing all your running apps is a common occurrence for me...

The apps on the quick launch bar aren't really running in the background.

If you simply tap on the Mail icon you'll be taken to where you were before. If you tap on the mail notification you'll be taken to your email.
