I have Gustav Holst's 'The Planets' suite on my iPod... it's brilliant, but slightly embarrassing when the iPod is on shuffle... (can I just point out I don't use an iPod, I use my phone, i'm still allowed to participate in this thread right!?)
Why would a piece of classical music be embarrassing?

My most embarrassing track is:
Carla Bruni (aka Mdme Sarkozy) Quelqu'un m'a dit

I have a playlist of songs that my GF likes on my iphone so when we are driving she has something to listen to instead of my music. Its really horrible music, some Britney Spears, country music and Cher. Plus she is one of those people who listen to the whole CD, while I just like the popular music of most artists.

As a once delighted resident of the 90's I have a sense of the difference between "gay" and "club" music. You see, in the 90's many things that would be considered to be of the "gay" subculture today, were mainstream and completely acceptable at the time.

That being said:

Haddaway - What is love

LOL. i found this song in my iTunes library, and i was literally shocked. might have used it for some video or whatnot. wow did that song suck big time. well i deleted it immediately...

I listen to many genres thus i have many "embarassing" songs... though friends ususally like my ipod as almost anyone can find music he/she likes. The only funny thing for people is that i got many audiobook like harry potter.... hahahahahah and I hate that i like tik tok by kesha...

Probably Triumph The Insult Comic Dog's album Come Poop With Me :p

Triumph is great, but if someone is scrolling through my iPod and sees an album called "Come Poop With Me" it's going to raise some eyebrows ;)

I was going to say "Toxic" which is kinda catchy, but gets me a lot of odd looks when it comes up on the mix. But then I found "barney takes a dump" from an adam sandler comedy album. Fart and Poop jokes are funny, but come on...

I gotta delete that one. :)

Uptown Girl - Billy Joel.
Hit Me Baby One More Time, and probably many many others.

Magic Moments by Perry Como.

I bought it off iTunes to soundtrack a video I did for my Mother-in-Law. However, ever so often the Genius mix decides I want to listen to it, so obviously I must like it after all :)

I have several Manowar-songs in my iPod. Yeah, they are pretty silly, but I still like them :)

I also have some C. C. Catch songs in there...

I have John Denver's greatest hits on my iPhone. I also have the album "Breathless" by Kenny G on there too. Both of those albums are completely different from all the other music I have on there.

^^Now that is embarrassing :D

Why does everyone not like this song? I love it (well, I've also got Coco Jamboo and that Gina G. single...). It's a great song.

I don't get why so many people are embarrassed or secretive* about what music they like. If you like it, listen to it.

*I have this vision, in black & white, of a young adult bent double under the floorboards of some dusty eastern European hovel, listening to Haddaway on his iPod, whilst the Gestapo-like Music Police roam overhead belittling and chiding those less careful..

I think most people in general like that song reguardless if they like her or not... have you hear the rock version? amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syXMs4Im3KQ

What is for me is that I am perhaps the only person in California without one. :)

I have a Macs though, but these days anymore Apple is about iPod/iTunes and iPhone. Very rarely do iPod fans or iPhone fans ever mention anything about Macs, but they are in love with their phones and iPods unlike any product I have ever seen. Most of these people I know use PCs but have bought more than one iPod and look forward to every version of one that comes down the road.

Apple has gone from a struggling boutique computer company I have followed since the '70s and beyond to "the" MP3 maker, "the" music download company, and "the" cell phone maker in those multi-billion dollar markets. I am very proud of Apple and I can now feel safe for them, which wasn't the case when they were only a computer company and their stock was at $14 dollars a share. Since the phone and MP3 player, the stock has soared several X over that fourteen bucks.

I know of one person who had a kid who didn't want to work actually go out of their way to get a job, and for one reason, to get an iPhone. This person wanted to keep up with all the other HS kids who all owned iPhones. And we are in a recession but iPhone fans are willing to make sacrifices elsewhere, like clothes, movies, eating out, so they can save up for an iPhone or iPod, or two, or even three.
