I may be the lone dissenter here, but I don't get the love for the white front--I find it distracting whereas I don't notice the black screen surround at all. Besides, if Apple had released the current lineup of pastel colors with only white fronts, there'd be even more people looking down their noses at what they see as a "girly" design than there already are, imo.

I would have avoided it too if it were only white on the front. I do think giving an option of white or black would be nice but it's not cost efficient. I've never been able to enjoy a white phone honestly, it washes out the colors to my eyes.

Me too...especially the bare aluminum on the white was just ugly. I like the blue 5c and it is actually very sturdy unlike samsung plastic

Yes very much. The aluminum and the two tone of the 5/5s was a huge turn off for me. I still say Apple peaked with the 4/4s

You're not the only one who feels this way. Watching video or looking at photos with a white border isn't too nice on the eyes.

I don't mind using iOS 7 with a white border though.

I'm thinking the 5C will get bumped up with at least most of the 5S functionality for a 5CS-or-something. They'll want to keep selling the 5C to replace the 4S, and they'll want the 5S to be the last-years-model, but to make it cheaper, they'll keep the plastic shell and maybe exclude touch-ID or another feature.

They'll market it as an upgrade to the 5C so people won't complain about any lack of features from the 5S. I could be wrong, who knows... but it makes more sense than them trying to sell the 5S again for cheaper.

Yes I believe Apple will do this every year from now on. There's more people in the Apple ecosystem now then ever thanks to the iphone 5s and 5c.

Idk if they will update it yearly or bi-yearly though. I think this year the 5c replaces the 4s (maybe as it is now or with different internals) and there's a possibility that we get two different iphone 6's with different sizes.

I could also see Apple using the "C" line to start two totally different lines of iPhones. They could have the flagship line, the mid range, and low end. Similar to what they do now, but different. I honestly believe that the 4s maybe the last iphone to hang around 3 years. The iPhone 5 lasted one year ( honestly I'm not disappointed , just like I wouldn't be of they discontinued the 5s as I HATE the design). The iPhone 5c IMO is better designed then the 5/5s.

Of course this is all just me speculating as Apple could go numerous directions now

I think Apple is not going to start making new iPhone 6C :apple:

So you think they will drop the "c" line? All together?

It won't happen. The iPhone 5c has done 2 things very well. It's brought people from Android and it's also helped people diced between it and the 5s... If most people chooses the 5s then Apple wins big. The 5c improved margins and that's why it's here to stay...

Better battery and bigger screen. The battery life on the 5s is probably my biggest disappointment

I could think so because China Mobile for example choose to sell 5S instead of 5c and Apple started to producing few 5c. :apple:

I think so too- they will probably slim it down a bit

I actually thought the 4s was a bigger disappointment because Siri

I'd rather have touch I'd and no siri than Siri and no touch I'd I think- but maybe be it is just me

I thought Siri was a little to gimmicky

Yes I understand what you are saying, but China is only one place. Apple mass produced the 5c at launch to ensure they had stock. To me I don't believe these are signs that they will not produce the phone anymore. I'm pretty sure they will continue with a cheaper price.

The succes of the 4S wasn't Siri, it was the A5 and the camera, both were a zillion times faster than the competition back then.

I think apple will only be updating the 'c' iPhones every other year, so i think the 6c will be next.I doubt they will change the colors except maybe ADD (but not take away any in its place) black and maybe Product [RED]. Although something i don't think many have thought about is that the 6c will have a different form-factor/design.

Or maybe keep the 5C but change the internals to the 5S since it seems they would want more and more users on the 64 bit train.
