What is Normal Battery Life for iPhone 4s

Hey guys, i know there has been many threads on this topic, funny thing is as much as i have reviewed everyones input, nobody has mentioned what is fair in terms of Battery Life. We all know apple posts there expected battery life but everyone has different settings. I am not sure if i have a valid complaint or not. It appears my battery drains very quickly when not in use but maybe i am over reacting. Please see my info below:

At 1% Battery Life Left on a single charge after draining battery and charging 100% to get an affective callibration:

Usage: 5 Hours, 17 Minutes
Standby: 21 Hours, 29 Minutes

I do not have bluetooth running and brightness is set to about 55%. i do normal usage such as games, checking emails and text messages. I am not running much music or movies and have under 30 min of talk time. just typical surfing and playing. What are your thoughts? is this what everyone should expect from there phone? Maybe i should disregard the drainage % and focus more on the total usage and standby time per last full charge.
 
That is a expected run time. I am getting about 5.5hrs usage and 24hrs standby.
 
7-8 hours of Usage is a lot more than 5:30-6hrs of usage, i wonder what we are doing to drain our battery much quicker.

As I keep saying, usage depends on what you do. I'm sure I could drain my battery if I play intensive 3D games for 2 hours...

As for my usage, the reason why it's that high is because I play a little bit of music.

Depends in the standby time

I had 1 day 9 hours today. I ended up with 6 hours, 30 minutes usage. I could of easily got 7-8 hours usage without having it in standby for so long

Anybody who has great battery life have push email on?
 
I admittedly have not done much with my phone since last charge but am pretty happy with where it is at now.

3 hours 14 minutes use
1 day 1 hour standby

I still have 46% battery life remaining. This is with receiving push email from 2 accounts and fetch from another. I've sent a few texts, browsed the web, and checked twitter. I can't complain. I don't expect it to last near as long when playing games or streaming video.

Is this battery life good? Doesn't seem to good to me

Mine is the same when I use my phone alot when I take it off charger. Just means you are using the phone alot.

My phone uses barely any battery on standby on wifi. When on 3G its a different matter

I'm currently at

4 hours, 52 minutes usage
1 day, 2 hours standby

22% left

Which is about my average usage. Your usage numbers will always be higher when at home than if you were out for example.

Comparing usage times is not very meaningful unless you indicate what you were doing with the phone. I can get 9-10 hrs if I just listen to music and check a few emails. On the other hand, if I text constantly, browse the web, play games, etc, I'm lucky to get four hours usage.

Well most of my usage is on

Internet browsing
Apps,like ESPN sportscenter,twitter,Facebook

I don't use a lot of music but do sometimes...same with games.

I use push sometimes depending on the time of day For emails

I normally get over 6 hours usage and 1 day plus in standby. Guess it does depend how you use it and where

As when I'm out I lose a good 8-10% with just getting a few emails and not using the phone much purely because it's on 3G

With 3G you should never underestimate the effect that low signal strength will have on battery life. Using the phone for browsing when it's having to try and find a 3G signal can really drop the battery time. Also the extent to which you use apps requiring location services.
 
Less than the iPhone 4, yet YMMV.

Less than Apple's best effort.

Less than Apple's once stellar reputation.

Yet, there's always the next upcoming model to sell ...

Exactly like mine, but it should be better.
 
What you have seems fine to me. When I had 5% I had:
- Usage: 5 hours, 5 minutes
- Standby: 2 days, 4 hours
 
Here is mine as of today with moderate to heavy use(games, news, music, etc)

Are you guys really only getting battery life that lasts for HOURS? My iPhone 4 goes for 5-6 days on a single charge with normal usage.
