I personally think the bumpers were just an after thought for all of us that wanted other iPhone color choices other than black and white. They are not seriously charging $29 for those are they?

The Bumper is the same exact thing as the Griffin Reveal now for the iPhone 3GS. I love that case and I definitely will pick up the Bumper as well 😀

Well, think of it this way - they form a lip on the front and the back. If you drop the phone on its side, the bumper is there. If you drop it flat on the front or the back, the lip still absorbs the impact.
