Well to build body mass, you need to lift weights. Don't worry about building too much mass, that's actually hard to do (if it wasn't everyone would be huge). Eat a high protein diet to help with building mass.

I've really oversimplified it, but essentially that's what you need to do. Hopefully someone else can elaborate a bit more for you.

If you find out let me know.

1) Build up a reputation/following for being the Andy Kaufman of a site. Check.
2) Continue to post non-sequiturs, then putting links to your blog in your singnature. Check.

As for your original post, there are several threads on MacRumors on both nutrition and exercise for fitness. Unfortunately truly healthy food is not as cheap as junk food. But exercise can cost nothing but time.

Cheapest: Lots of chocolate and fried foods. Make sure that the fried foods is NOT fried in vegetable oil, fried in lard only.

Body Mass: Move around as little as possible. Trust me, you'll develop body mass!

You must have missed the healthy stipulation. ;)

Oh gosh...that's not healthy!!??

I could be in trouble...

I guess I don't look too healthy. Funny, I never noticed before...

My question is what's the fastest way to drop body fat? The older you get, the harder it is. I'm not obese but overweight. A tough pill to swallow when 45 min of running, 3 times a week, used to take care of this issue. The "old" back won't allow me to run any more. :(

Eat less. Less calories in than calories out, and do cardio a few times a week (maybe swim or cycle if you can't run). The fat will melt away in no time.

Check out cronometer, it helps you keep track of everything

Think of your body like a car and food as gasoline. If you put 10 gallons of gas in your car in the morning, yet only drive around enough to burn up 8 gallons of gas, your car weighs more. You drive and burn up 12 gallons od gas your car weighs less.

In your teens and twenties, you are a sports car...sexy lines, dangerous, fast, and not very fuel efficient. You burn gas quickly.

In your middle years, you are a Camry...lines that look alot like other 4 door sedans, safer, slower 0 to 60, and more fuel efficient. You have to drive farther to burn a gallon of gas. Either don't fuel up as much, or gas up less.

As you get older, you become a Prius...

Almonds.

I hear the magic number to eat is 8 per day. Instead, I eat around 80 of them every day, and am now 10x healthier than 4 out of 5 of those dumb doctors who made that stupid recommendation.

But **** I'm fat.

I don't know why people have the misconception that it is easy to get as big as a body builder just by lifting weights.

From my experience its because "I'm lazy" doesn't sound as good as "I don't want to end up being too big".

You also missed the key word : "Body mass". The OP was not talking about lean mass. Thus no need to lift weights. To build mass, just eat more calories than you spend. The build mass with healthy foods, just eat more calories than you spend, using only healthy foods.

If eating healthy foods in appropriate amounts to get the calorie overdose you need is hard, just move less.

Eat less calories than you spend. The reverse of trying to gain body mass.

It's simple guys.
