What is the current status to get an iPad 2 in stores?

Forgive me if what I'm about to say is against the rules of this forum but I don't believe it to be.

I would be happy to pick up iPad 2's for people as long as either one of the two Apple stores near me have them available. Shoot me a message if you want to work something out. I'm located in Boston, MA.

Yes, I do have feedback and significantly more substantial accounts on other websites if you would like to check my references as well.

Yeah. It's pretty crazy. I've been lucky enough that wit my business account with them, I've gotten one pretty much anytime I went to go get one without any waiting.

Best buy in Albany and Pittsfield , along with ALL the Walmarts & Targets's have them.

I know I'm buying a 2nd one but will probably wait for the 3rd Gen to come out, have a 16 gig AT&T White now less than a month old but should have gotten a 32.

FYI AT&T is running a free month of the 2 gig data plan.

I called a few stores today and was able to find the iPad I was looking for at a Target... No difficulties getting one at all (expect my screen does have a dead pixel... I'll deal with an Apple Store for that)
 
Thanks for your answers about Boston stock! I hope to get my ipad 2. As you know, it is a huge save respect to Spain, and we have stock problems too
 
osschecker and findone have all been wrong for me. I have called around, and at 945 PM one target 40 mins away said they had one, but they close at 10. Im going when they open and hope they have it.
 
I was going to wait and get the Samsung 10.1 or 8.9 but broke down and got a 16GB Black Wifi iPad2 @ BestBuy just a little while ago.

Thanks for the links guys. Called the store he said he had one and asked if I wanted it held. Picked it up about an hr later.

Still haven't opened it yet though. Need to get a case or something. I think I may order a SwitchEasy Canvas and pick up a Griffin cover or something to tide me over

Tbh, Radioshack only pushes the accessories and Apple Care because they do not make much money on the device itself. It's the add ons that bring in the $$$... and then Radioshack creates an incentive for the employees to push them by giving bonus when they sell accessories, protection plans, etc. with the device. If a device is sold without an "add-on" then it reflects badly on the employee who sold the item and the store itself (yeah I know it's pretty messed up).

I think some stores knew that the iPad would be in such high demand that even if they lost a sale from someone who didn't want an accessory or Apple Care, someone else would be back sooner or later who was willing to buy one.

The protocol that the employees are suppose to follow is to push the items on the consumer and if they really aren't interested then ring out the sale without them... but it's really on a store by store basis... like I know if I bought an iPad at my own store there would be no problem if I didn't take Apple Care and an accessory...

But tbh... I'm just happy working at Radioshack is just my summer job and nothing more...

ANYWAY... Anyone know where or how I can get an iPad 2 in stores... like tomorrow? Should I show up to an Apple Store an hour before they open? Are Apple Stores even getting regular shipments?

Target by me had a bunch yesterday, 3 16gigs and a couple each of the bigger ones. I grabbed my 16 and I'm a happy camper!
