Two Screenshots, first standard airport probably, second chosen upon restart of the application[/QUOTE]

That is the correct airport, when the sim starts up, the top left panel should have Seattle International (KSEA) selected. If it is not, just search Seattle in the box and select it from the results.

I don't know, if it is a driver issue, but I have the i7 3770K quad core CPU and 32 GB RAM.

Maybe your fps will increase if you tick the box for the full screen (that is what I do).

Nah, the FPS stayed around 30 to 35 fps, but that was okay for me, though I got higher FPS in Parallels and some CallOfDuty games I lent some months ago.

Thanks for your help :) So it looks like my 750m performs around 10 - 15 fps higher in OS X. I'm sure it would be the other way around in Windows, but I'm quite impressed at how well my 750m holds up.

Wow seriously, who in his right mind would bank a 747 that steeply...

Me. Hey, it is my first flight and several attempts to bring it down failed. I think I did a loop once and a 360 roll sideways, all with keyboard and mouse. It is quite a good machine to let me do that.

Looks like he was going in for a pro landing :p

I decided not to even bother attempting the keyboard and mouse controls. Straight to configuring my PS3 controller for the majority of controls :p

Normally I just angle in the plane into the glide slope and use ILS whenever possible :)

I have yet to use ILS in X-Plane. Done it a few times in FS but I liked landing myself. I of course still set up the HDG and vertical speed on entry, but fly manually.

See, I only understand half of that. ;) I am not a pilot gamer, though it looks like fun, but the graphics at 1080p are still kinda atrocious, especially the dashboard controls.

Hey hey, it was my first time and I still don't know where to fly to unless the violet line on the compass is my vector.

Maybe I do that one day, as it made some fun flying that machine, but I would also get a dedicated controller, probably something like Harold Finch has.

But I wait until the dashboard gets better looking, thus one can see them in its glory. And once they equip all those machines with bazookas, FLAK and so on. I mean I wanna have some fun when flying close to empty highways.

Put the time to night, and weather to full precipitation and storms :D

I'm only kidding, you were actually quite good at getting it off the ground with the keyboard controls :)

haha There is a f22 Raptor in the sim where you can use the weapons, that should get you going!

I AM SO INNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

Thanks for the tip, but do the dashboard controls really look like that for you too?
It looks like from Call Of Duty 2 or so. Maybe it is a setting I haven't found yet?

What do you mean by dashboard, the plane or the menus? The plane's graphics vary depending on the plane, and the main menu is always ugly :p

I mean the plane, but yes, the Menu is very DOSsy.

I recently tried the fighters and I couldn't get them off the ground, but then again, I am not well versed with all of that.

And I thought for such a well received game it had a bit better graphics.

Are you releasing the parking brake?

Anyway, I think the graphics look great. Try night time! :p You could try HDR to make the dashboard look better, but I get low fps with it so you will probably be the same.

I didn't find that brake on two planes and I tried every knob I could find.

As for the graphics, maybe I am just used to more. The graphics are still okay for the game, just behind the times I suppose.

Do remember the scale of the full version (the whole planet as well as Mars). It is more quantity over quality but a Flight Sim would be pointless nowadays without the whole globe to practise on. If you add mods and textures to it, you could have something that looks like this: http://youtu.be/AoVdh3eFW2M

As for the parking brake, press the 'b' key. You should be doing this on all planes.

That frelling big? Huih, I get it. How big is that game?

Nope, the B did not work and I also did not find anything in the KEYBOARD settings you can program.
The 747 at least had a lever I could manipulate via mouse.

Yeah, it contains the whole world to scale (well 70 degrees south to 74 degrees north). The demo is just Seattle. As for the brakes, got to the keys tab on Joystick settings, and press the new assignment button and press 'b', then on the right, look for parking brake.
