I certainly don't get the hype.

Having been an avid game enthusiasts in my youth, given the dismal quality of phone games, I never have, and never will play any games on a phone, let alone pay any money for them.

In my view, games are best experienced on the PS4, Xbox, and high powered PCs.

I bought a 5s (with flappy bird) installed for $1300.. I think I got a deal compared to what I saw on eBay. My high score is a 55!

You actually bought one for $1300? :O I hope you're joking. The ipa file can easily be found on the internet.

Your answer is in your question. It's hype. I saw a 4s on craigslist for $3000. I almost choked from laughing so hard. What's to stop anyone putting any price tag on anything, simply because they think someone might be desperate/foolish /carefree enough to pay? Nothing. That is free market capitalism, in a nutshell.

I troll those idiots trying to actually sell their iPhone 5 for $2000 on Craigslist. Just make them meet up somewhere far and then not show up lol

Its a stupid game, but I have a 5s with it I will sell for only 1800.

Can you send it to my friend in Nigeria? I will pay with paypal.

This whole thing cracks me up. IT'S ALL A SCAM! When money is involved, people lose all their common sense. To indisputable reasons why it's a scam, and not worth jack squat.

1: All the auctions that supposedly sold phones on ebay for 10's of thousands were fake. Go look at the bids. The first $50,000 are all bids made by someone w/ zero feedback. These are just scammers that bid on stuf and hope you send it w/ out recieving payment. These "auctions" were the entire reason people believed there was a market for Flappy Bird. However none of these phones actually sold to real ebay users.

2: This is the most damning fact, and the one that amazes me people overlook. Ever hear of JAILBREAKING? And when you jailbreak you can download programs that install free apps. GUESS WHAT APP IS STILL 100% STILL AVAILABLE IN THESE JAILBROKEN STORES? And 100% free? You guessed it! FLAPPY BIRD!

So, this app that can be installed on your phone in about 10 minutes for free is worth $1,000's of dollars right? Lol.

The brain is a terrible thing to waste.

It can be done even simpler than that without jailbreaking, just by installing one of many similarly free copycat apps that still available in Apple's App Store and are almost exactly the same minus the main character being a fish of some sort rather than a bird, or something like that.

Well that doesn't explain how it's a scam though. Saying you can download a fake version of it is like saying you can buy a fake holy grail, so the holy grail is worth nothing.

My 2 reasons above are the only 2 you need to know it's a scam. Anything that can be downloaded an endless amount of times, is not rare as people are claiming.

This whole Flappy Bird things is exactly the same way that these people in Africa sucker people here. When people see the possibility for easy money they don't have to work for, the suspend all reason and logic and go for it.

Even worse, when i tried to tell people on craigslist it was a scam, the two most common responses were:

1: Ya well all I need is one sucker to fall for it (the orginial sucker had become the scammer).

2: People were genuinely mad that i alerted them that they had fallen for a scam. Mad at me! Extremely bothered by the fact that i would even try to help them. And all i say is "Flappy bird thing was all a scam, sorry".

So it just goes to show what happens to people when "easy" money is at stake. Anyhow, if your interested in buying flappy bird phones, I have a promotion going. Buy one flappy bird phone and get 2 bridges free.

It's hard to go through Craigslist without a seller listing "w/ FlappyBirds installed."

It's no telling how long this gimmick will last, even though I installed it.. And immediately deleted (I didn't like it). But I'll like to think people with huge amounts of money has a bit of common sense and would look for other alternatives before succumbing to the gimmick.

It was a stupid game. Anyone paying anything for it or a phone with it installed needs their head examined.

It's a "scam" because it's stupid basically, without really having to examine anything any deeper than that.
