What is the largest screen you would want on a phone? POLL!

I want a 30" screen that fits in my pocket with plenty of room to spare. Would also like it to weigh >5 grams and have 4x the battery life of the current iPhone.

As for compromise I will keep the 3.5" because I still want it to easily fit in my pocket. Even a slight increases in overall size is unacceptable to me for practical reasons. I would actually like to see a 3" since the form factor would be closer to phone 5 years ago.

Well Apple already has the technology, but as everyone knows, they like to hold back all their features to give more selling points to future products.

Expect them to release it with the iPhone 10

although i love the iphone 4 the way it is now, i think having a 4in retina display for the next iteration would be effin amazing!

but i wouldn't mind something slightly bigger. i've played with a none working model of the htc evo and i actually didn't mind the size of the screen.

I'm interested in the 6 people who voted for an iPad sized screen... wouldn't that be interesting? I would assume that once you go beyond the 5" then you would need to use some sort of bluetooth device for conversations. As long as you could use voice commands that wouldn't be too bad.

Anyone saying 4 inches is too big is a tool. It's half of an inch, it will fit in your pocket.


I voted 4.3 inches. Love those big new phones coming out.

I would take anywhere in between 4 and 4.3 inches so long as it had the 326ppi or more.

And just think that bigger screen would give Apple more room to play with for internal hardware....much bigger battery, 2 memory chips to double capacity, slightly bigger but much more powerful A4 or maybe dual core A5...who knows, I can only wish for now.

For me, I don't think I'd want any bigger than this either. I also agree about the pixel density. The iPhone 4 screen is just amazing.

4" is perfect. I owned a Captivate for a week and loved the size of it.
