I wouldn't want to pay more than $400 for a watch, but to be completely honest there's nothing about the Apple watch that interests me. Its dependence on an iPhone means I'll probably never get one.

Exactly what my price point is. Plus tax

If the SS is more than that, I will just get the aluminum.

Yup! =)
Oddly enough, I'll take silver if I can afford the SS, but black if I can't... lol.
Something about looking like I have a chunk of a MacBook strapped to my wrist that I can't hang with...! No brushed silver aluminum for me.

I'm looking at the Apple Watch SS 42mm with link bracelet. I'm thinking it will be ~$600, but I might be willing to go up to $700.

If it's more than that, I'll probably get the sport with a leather loop band.

Ideally I would like to pay less than $600, but I'd be willing to go up to $800. Model of choice is the black stainless steel w/ matching link bracelet. I also plan on buying a green or blue sports band, but I can't imagine that will add too much to the cost.

If it's upgradeable, I'd pay about $1000. Assuming it's not though, I'm interested in the Stainless Steel Space Black 42mm. $600 is probably my max.

I think the most I ever spent on a watch was about $30us and that was 40
odd years ago.....

....today I'd spend $0us on the :apple:watch. I don't do watches, they are
useless to me since I always have at least one phone with me all the time.

The watch like TV is old and dying technology......

Funny, I was in a very popular UK high street store a couple of days ago, and these stores all across the UK have a jewellery section in-store.

A couple of tall glass cabinets, with a reasonable selection of men's and ladies normal quartz watches with hands and round dials.

And I will admit, I did think how nice they all looked and actually surprised at how cheap they were. All sub £100 (160 dollars)
Brand was mostly Rotary

I'm sure some here would turn their nose up at them denouncing them all as cheap junk only poor people would buy, but they looked perfectly fine and I would not think any less of anyone for wearing any of them.

I thought I wanted black. I owned a black Moto 360 and a silver one. The silver definitely is more versatile. It matches more outfits haha. The black easily can look out of place. Granted if you want to use a sport band the black can be versatile.

For a 42mm one, I wouldn't pay more than $199, but given that its sapphire crystal, I'm ready to shell out at most $299. It's a different story that I wouldn't buy one in the first place regardless of how cheap it is.

Stainless Steel Apple Watch with the Milanese loop, not sure how to decide between 38 and 42mm. I'm hoping that one falls between $500-600. If that one is a lot more, I may go like others and get the cheapest one. I agree with the sentiment that it might be best for a gen 1 product anyway to get the cheapest model...

I won't pay more that $600, and that might be pushing it. So I hope I can get a 42 mm Apple Watch for that price, but if the normal Apple Watch is just too expensive, I'll get the Sport watch. I would like to have a Sport band for running and casual things, and the metal link band for when I want to dress a little nicer.

If they're ever £9.99 when purchasing twenty litres of petrol, I'll consider one.

It's perfectly fair enough for you to answer the way you did because that's what the question asked.

I have no interest in Lego Blocks and can't imagine wasting my time going on Lego forums...........I also have no problem with Lego Blocks as they provide lots of fun for people and remember enjoying them in my younger days.

I am going for a 42mm Space gray watch Sport.
I think Apple I going to charge an extra of 25% for the larger one.

So $ 435 for the watch and $ 75 for the shipping because i have to import it to my country. Will not wait for a release here.

Hopefully I can get a 42mm and an extra band for <500
I would imagine that you'd be able to get a 42mm Apple Watch Sport and an extra Sport Band for that amount. (I can't imagine Apple would charge that much more for the 42mm model, and I'm guessing the Sport Bands will cost $29 or so.)

Probably won't pay more than 500 dollars for one, hoping to get the fancy gold one

They said the starting price was $350. There's no way you're going to be able to upgrade to the gold Edition watch for only $150 over the aluminum Sport version. You're either trolling or delusional.

Whoa. That looks way nicer in real life than it does on Apple's website. I may have to add this one to the models I'm considering!

I don't have a maximum. I know what face I want and I know what straps I want. I will purchase exactly that.
