Garageband. Just import any audio file and have Garageband convert it to an ringtone.

If the file is in AAC format (I used iTunes to convert MP3s and such), you can just change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r. Then add this to iTunes, it'll be added as a ringtone and can be synced

I made like 5 ringtones, but I've had the same one for the past year. When I got home with my 6s Plus, one of the first things I did was transfer my tones from my Android phone. It's the 3rd chorus from Another Life by D'angelo.

It's been out a year and it's still my favorite song.
