that's exactly the use I made of video calls in the uk when the 3G network first launched: I spent a lot of time away on business and it was fantastic to actually see my wife and daughter whilst I was away. It never really took off though (possibly because the calls didn't come out of your allowance and cost a fortune) and less and less phones are coming out with front facing cameras now

I just don't get it..will you guys really video conference in the middle of a street or at home? I find this appeal to be kind of gimmicky and i'd probably use it once and then get bored of it (like chat roulette). I might totally be wrong but makes we wonder.

Personally, I'd rather have a slimmer and better form factor phone than cramming another camera.

I feel like it would be awkward to videoconference on your tiny phone. What's the point. Just take out your laptop and suck it up.
