If the new 15" has a Core i5/i7 Mobile processor, with an ExpressCard slot, and a GeForce GTxxxM series video card, along with 5-7hour lithium polymer battery, I will definitely upgrade.

If it's anything Arrandale, I will pass. I like discrete nvidia graphics. :D

Arrandale will be marketed as Core i5 and i7. And there's no reason it can't also use a discrete GPU.

This may sound stupid. My boss just got me a macbook pro 15" for christmas, although I have not even gotten it from him yet for one reason or another. Anyway my real question is, are there any body changes to the new mbp? or is it mainly just the internals. I really don't do anything to fantastic with the computer, student stuff and internet, music, pictures. Not much I can do since the mbp 15" is already bought, but I would be kinda bummed if there was a MAJOR cool new update. I'm new to the mac world so i would not really even notice the difference most likely.

Internals mostly because right now the gaga is about the new tablet not MBPs. Expect minor refinements to the design though.

final decision

Thanks, I think that I have come to the conclusion that the "old" mbp will be perfect for me...it is a gift (free) and i am sure it is an upgrade from my 4 year old dell inspiron. So although it wont be the LATEST AND GREATEST chances are that I wont even notice the difference since I really just do light word processing and web browsing.
