I have chosen the method of hooking up to my iTunes to my iMac and restoring from my iPhone 4s. It seemed to go flawlessly. I got all my passwords , browsers links etc.. mail ... no prob. Then I seen Apple did a update for the ios 8 to 8.02. I did that update but it was very strange it was like it took me through it twice. After it was done i thought everything was fine.
But what I found out was after i did the update to 8.02 and i plugged in my charger to my iPhone it would display some rather disturbing readings on my time, and battery percentages. Those figures doubled like ghosting.. I thought WTF. If I removed the cable and quit the charging procedure then the ghosting would stop. But I thought to myself ," Man, I have a defective iPhone 6 plus" So here is what I did to fix this problem and I am posting it here in case that anyone else had this trouble and here's how to fix it.
Hook up your iPhone 6 to iTunes on you iMac or MBP or whatever you are using. Turn off Find my phone, (very important) right click on your device name in the left column of iTunes and choose the option transfer purchases.
Then click restore and go through all the prompts.... reinstalling from your backup, mine was on iCloud, (but I have a computer backup for emergencies ) and once that was done, I hooked up to my charging cable to see if the ghosting was still there. Result: NO Ghosting.. Problem Fixed.
Not sure what happened but I must have got a glitch or something that caused that but a full restore from my backup fixed the problem.
I am good to go and love my new iPhone 6 Plus.
