iPhone 11 Pro What is the primary reason you're going with Pro/Pro Max over 11?

I only put possibly to battery life edge bc until reviews are out and people have used them won't know. and apple was kinda cryptic about that but it sounds like it will have some edge over 11

I’m also assuming pro and pro max will have ram boost vs 11 like xs / max did next to Xr so ram can fall under last option if you want

Not at all the point of this poll thread sorry .this is for people who are planning on going pro or pro Max specifically and opting for it over 11 in their purchase decision

I always get the Max because I prefer the bigger phone and I go the Pro route because I want bigger camera. I have kids and I take multiple pictures a day. I don’t want to carry a camera, so I prefer the iPhone with the best camera.

ETA: Just reread the title. Didn’t see the “over 11”.

I’m an iPhone photography enthusiast. I like to challenge myself to take the best shot possible given the restrictions come with smartphone cameras. I’m on an iPhone XS Max at present but going with the Pro this time because the battery life is going to be decent while also having the best camera an iPhone can offer within a more compact form factor.

I'm going with a Midnight Green Pro Max. I'm upgrading from a 7-Plus. I use my phone A LOT in my job and having a larger one is a great match for me. So to answer the TC's question...the reason I'm going with the Pro Max, primarily, is the extra battery life and the additional feature set.

It’s not really a topic that lends to such a straightforward poll. People have personal reasons for upgrading that are entwined with their choice - and there’s very unlikely to be one sole reason they’re going for the Pro that they’d define as THE primary one.

It’s not a perfect poll I will grant you that but people seem to be contributing to it just fine so far, and it’s something at least

There are advantages to pro over 11, and it also comes with a $300 or $400 upcharge so I’m wondering what’s swaying them and there is a little more nuance than just a third camera and oled screen but those certainly seem to be the popular ones by far

Genuinely surprised how many people want that telephoto specifically Vs OLED despite 11 having wide and ultra wide already

I’d be curious how the new OLED screen looks in person too as a screen stickler and if it has PWM or not

I have an XR now. I didn't go with the 11 because I didn't think it was a big enough "upgrade" to justify it. I also miss the look of the more premium looking phone and that gold color. I also like that the screensize of the Pro is slightly smaller than the 11.

After debating this for a while, I decided to go for the 11 Pro MAX over the 11 for a few reasons:

1) I actually use the telephoto lens a good amount
2) OLED
3) Pro now has more Battery Life than the 11

I am trading in my paid off XS Max - when combined with the 0% financing offered with iPhone Payments, it seemed like a no brainer (only $27 a month - I will likely pay off the loan early sometime next year).

I fully plan on switching to the "mainstream" line - in 2020 when it moves to OLED

I really like the size of the 11, but I wanted the extra camera lens. I use my phone for taking photos and videos daily, whether it’s at concerts or when I’m traveling. The 3 camera are going to be great!!

Most people don't need telephoto lenses to take baby pictures. The wide/ultrawide lenses will take identical photos between 11 and 11 pro.
