It’s not a perfect poll I will grant you that but people seem to be contributing to it just fine so far, and it’s something at least

There are advantages to pro over 11, and it also comes with a $300 or $400 upcharge so I’m wondering what’s swaying them and there is a little more nuance than just a third camera and oled screen but those certainly seem to be the popular ones by far

Genuinely surprised how many people want that telephoto specifically Vs OLED despite 11 having wide and ultra wide already

I’d be curious how the new OLED screen looks in person too as a screen stickler and if it has PWM or not
[doublepost=1568389119][/doublepost]I suppose I’m different because I chose the 11Pro over the 11, although I rarely take pictures. I think that the 11 with its glossy finish and aluminum siding looks like a cheap product. I like the brighter OLED display of the 11Pro and the longer battery life.

Telephoto!
It is a shame apple decided to copy the stupid samsung decision and give the 11 a wide plus ultra wide and not a wide plus telephoto like every other manufacturer.

80% of the pictures i take with my phone are of people.
When in good loght i always use the zoom lens.
You can use the wide, but to get a good framing of a person, you have to get in too close and then the facial features will distort.
There is a reason portrait photographers mostly use 70-200 zoom lenses or prime 85 and 135mm lens.

You just dont take portraits with a 27mm lens. Unless you are going for an enveironmental portrait or a very specific creative effect.

And most people use their phones to take pictures of people.
Themselves, wife, girlfriend, parents, cousins, kids...
It is just so bad to force people to spend 300 euros more when the 11 with a telephoto would be a perfect phone for most people. Myself included.
But since no telephoto, i have to spend 300 more... thank you very much apple...

It’s of course personal preference but I applaud their decision to go ultra wide instead of telephoto

It also seems like a key ingredient for Deep Fusion something you may care about with portraits

I have the best reason. My employer pays for my phones and my service. So I can get whatever phone I want, and does not cost me a dime!

If I keep it a while I’ll be older and need the telephoto to get quality pics of strangers on my lawn.

I wish the 11 had telephoto + wide.

Form factor is the primary reason as anything over the 5.8" is just uncomfortable to use one handed (that top left corner is even difficult on the XS) but the upgraded camera and the OLED are probably tied in a close second.

I’m getting the pro only because it has the largest phone. I’m 6’4 with giant hands and the max fits easily in one hand. It was strange for me having a phone as small as the X a couple years ago.

I advised my gf and friend to get the non-Pro because in my opinion it is a lot better bargain at that price point.

Not at all the point of this poll thread sorry .this is for people who are planning on going pro or pro Max specifically and opting for it over 11 in their purchase decision

There really is no point to this poll other than your personal check list. Serves no purpose.

How do create a poll and leave out the most important aspect between the 11 and pro models? The size option of the max. Since the iPhone 6, the bigger size is what has captured most peoples attention.

My main reason is the triple lens camera. I like to have the best quality camera in an iPhone, I’m going to Florida in a couple of months, being able to take pictures and capture those memories with friends is a huge thing! You only get so many memories in life and I like to capture them with the best I can.

Other things are the longer battery life than my X and the updated display. Plus that Midnight green looks awesome!

Haven’t ordered yet as I’m still thinking about it. But I’d go 11 Pro because it’s the smallest/lightest of the new models. So form factor is the main reason for me. Can’t wait for the 5.4” version that’s rumored for 2020.

I think the max is lumped in there by default, but it's mostly a question about the 11 vs pro. People getting the max are always choosing size/battery since the pro/max are the same otherwise.

I do not think anyone is surprised by the poll results. Most picking the Pro over the 11 is the camera/OLED. Is that worth, on the low end, $300+? Only they can decide.

If form factor means the size of the 11 Pro Max, then that was the correct choice for me. Otherwise, my top reason wasn’t listed.

Always been about the Plus size and largest screen real estate for me.

Close second - Even with the size of the 11, I don’t like the colors. Didn’t like them last year. Don’t like them this year. Starbursts and carnival cotton candy. Not for me.

Also personally prefer the premium materials and look of the Pro, the camera, OLED + screen brightness, and longer battery life. Was mostly pleased with my XS Max, why would I go down to the 11?

Always get the largest form factor, the battery increase alone has historically been worth it but you can never really go wrong with having a bigger screen. You might not always need the biggest screen but I'd rather have too much when I don't need it than not enough when I do.

Camera is worth it too. Firstly I don't like having "second best" but I actually use the Telephoto lens a lot, possibly even more than standard camera because I'm usually using it at gigs or events where things may be further away. On the complete flip side, the wide angle will be awesome for filming my BMX clips or taking photos of larger things at museums etc such as planes. The 3 options will be brilliant all round.

OLED too. At the time the X came out I couldn't justify the higher price and in some ways I'm glad that I missed it for the 8 Plus, in others not so much. Anyway, this will be my first OLED phone and it already feels 2 years too late, I was not willing to deny myself for another 2 years.

I'm not really fussed about the finish tbh. As long as any front bezels are black I'm happy to just go with the 'closest to black' option so I've been a space grey owner since my first iPhone, the 5S. Stainless Steel bands will be nice though. It's not something I'm particularly bothered about but I do think they suit the premium glass design so much better,

I actually take a lot of photos for work, but that isn’t why I chose, primarily, the Pro Max over the 11. I’ve been using a X for the past two years, like the stainless frame and OLED screen and wanted the larger size this time, mainly for the longer battery life. That and my eyes aren’t what they used to be and will definitely benefit from the larger screen.

To me, it's mainly because of the OLED display, but the telephoto lens makes a huge difference to me as well as I actually use it quite a lot. And no, not just for Portrait photos, but for actual optically zoomed photos as well. But again, it's mostly the OLED panel that 'prevents' me from going for the regular iPhone 11. I've seen the iPhone Xr, I've seen many other iPhones from before the iPhone X, and those displays just look so outdated.

Photographer, I’m just sick of carrying a larger camera for everyday shots, travel etc. Pre-ordered an 11 Pro Max, a Moment case and some Moment lenses.
