I can't WAIT to see how much they offer me for my 2019 Mac Pro with 96gb of memory.

Apple dismissed them as worthless already, so can only imagine what they offer will be now.

Trade in worked for me. $1050 trade in for base config M1 Studio Max.
Mine just kind of came up, the description is wrong, it says I have 8TB of SSD, and it's only a 1TB. $1300. I'm maybe trading it in on an M2Pro Mini and getting rid of my whiner. It also has 64G of RAM, so it should be between 1050 and 1300, and that's enough I think. Still, it lost a lot of value. :(

It said 8TB for me also, but I have 2TB, 10,32,64 and they'll give me $1300

YOu get more money when selling online. 50% cut isn't a good trade in value
When they're going for $1,499 brand new at Costco with full warranty, $1,050 on a $1,999 product isn't bad.

FWIW, they're offering me $970 for my 2019 Mac Pro that cost over four times as much.

Refurbs are down in price too... $1,529 for the base model.

Still somewhat miffed that they're offering less for my $8,000 Mac Pro ($970!) than a base model Studio.

Not. A. Chance.

I reported that exact same problem yesterday and it's still not fixed.

Apple quoted $1200 for my M1 Ultra retail config by submitting my serial number. Dropping a $2800 in a little more than a year is a big reason to wait for M3.
What's your config? That's less than I supposedly will get from my M1 Max, 1TB, 64G RAM. ($1300)

$1200 for the base Mac Studio Ultra seems to be the price.

Too expensive a hit to trade it in at this point, would make an great Plex server at that point.

But, just the fact that there is a M2 Mac Studio points to a bright future for the product, and hopefully Apple really comes across with new tech aimed at Vision Pro that makes the M4 and M5 upgrade worth it. Like RT cores, upgraded ARM instruction set, and upgraded/new CPU/GPU cores. Simply not more/speed bumped ones on a new process.

The going price on Ebay for a Mac Studio Ultra 64/1TB is $3000. And apparently, the $1200 is 100 less than a customized Max which does not make sense.

That's what I can't understand! It's basically the same as my Max, but a better processor. Oh well, I expect Apple will not give me back the full $1300 when they get it back. It was obvious the store web page had a bug. I'd have traded it in if it were $1000.
