I'm a bit skeptical, since the iPhone looks a bit wider in comparison to the one I have in my hand; and the buttons on the left side as you are facing the iPhone, look as if they are too high and are not appropriately spaced as on v1, almost as if it were not allowing for the curve of the iPhone at that "silence button." It just doesn't look right! Nice try, but I'll wait until the ACTUAL release of v2.:cool:

By the way the iPod Touch icons don't have a hold button at all...

Although I suppose you cannot see the hold button facing the front of a Touch as easy...

very true.. i hate getting my hopes up when it comes to apple rumors but this is close to all the other "spyshots" and descriptions we've had, this could be very good but it could also be bad..

But i think that these are accurate...

Just think, one day we will have an iphone that is as thin as the touch

yeah, but do you necessarily want something that thin to hold against your ear - much easier to drop a touch with that thickness, but who knows.... In the end no matter how many rumors that come up - what we have in the end is all that matters...

i didnt even think of that. i just hope the back isn't plastic. the back is unique and plastic will degrade it.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A102 Safari/419.3)

I really like this one. I hope that we see a 3G iPhone that looks similar to the current model.

Going with the theory that this is the 2nd generation iPhone, having a new matching touch would make sense... they could add GPS and up the storage/battery life with the new form factor.

I'm not saying this is a possible new one... I'm thinking it may be when they created the icon's is changed the 3rd image for some reason on both? I really don't know - Both COULD be new, but who knows...

I don't know, I think somebody just didn't really bother making the iPhone icon perfect. Has anybody compared the Macbook Pro icon with an actual Macbook Pro, and etc.?

I hope thats not it... no front camera!

The image looks just like a child of the iPod touch. Not as roundy edges, much for square like, and no chrome around the edges. After all these months, I can soon call iPhone 2.0 the son of my iPod touch! Hooray! I'm' going to be an uncle!:)

Nice try dude

I was searching my Mac for the iPhone SDK dmg file because I never used it and I wanted to delete it. I found a file titled "iPhone.icns" in Macintosh HD>Developer>Platforms>Aspen.platform>Developer>Library>Xcode>Plug-ins>AspenSupport.xcodeplugin>Contents>Resources.

In the file was a group of icons and pictures of the iPhone, and one looked different. Anybody know what this is? Could it be the 3g iPhone? I doubt it, but I still find it interesting.

LMAO how long did it take you to come up with this scheme and what were you aiming to become, some sorta rumor superstar?? In a hugely hilarious and ironic twist if you use your current iPhone to tap and enlarge the image you can CLEARLY distinguish the blurriness of the metal bezel on the right-side image --- the so-called "could-this-really-be-IT?" ultimate photo leak! And yes while it is admitted that the image was enlarged, that's the full and pathetic extent of it --- somebody's lame attempt to take a gen1 iPhone and manipulate the image to create unnecessary and unwarranted buzz within this forum! IT'S THE SAME FREAKIN' PHONE (both images), PEOPLE!! So consider yourself BUSTED, partna!!!

I am, however, awestruck at the size of your balls for tryna sneak this one pass us.

[EDIT]: Oops did I post this on the wrong user LOL? Well if I did everybody knows which image I was referring to. Btw I blame this rather embarassing screw-up on my iPhone. I use it to read and respond to this site...and it's kinda tricky to navigate around inside a 3-inch screen and still keep my latitudinal and longitudinal bearings hehe! Oh yeah and I'm still technically a macrumors newbie n tryna get a feel for the place.

really guys, its an icon, do you know how many icons are out there for iphones, ipods, etc. Somebody probably made that one and didn't really bother to make sure it was EXACTLY perfect. Its just a graphic...lets not get carried away.
