I had the best Octopus, I have ever had a few weeks back. Small unassuming restaurant in Lisbon.

There was a language barrier, so I am not sure how it was cooked, but it seemed both grilled, and then poached. The texture was perfection.

Sorry, but those puckers completely gross me out.
 
One I acquired long ago: Go to Greece, Sicily, or the Balkans, if you want to sample and savour such delights, where their expertise in the preparation of such delicious dishes is unequalled.
Oh yes, fond memories of Milos and Aegina islands in seaside bistros. *sigh* There are terrific though expensive palces here in Switzerland but we aren't near salt water here.

Fond memories of Bosnia (just after the war of the 1990s, and, many years subsequently, and, much more recently, just last year), and Croatia.......

...where they served the most amazing (and succulent) grilled squid/octopus, served with olive oil, minced garlic (in generous quantities), boiled potatoes and steamed spinach (copious quantities of minced garlic and olive oil made an appearance here, too)....

Sublime; delicious; divine.

Dinner (last night) was hummus (excellent), a superb mixed salad, and a beer (plus sparkling mineral water) in the excellent Italian restaurant where I had dined the previous night.
