I'd have to say I like all the useful apps. I even like the useless apps; I think the Wi-Fi is great too.

What don't you like about them? I never thought a touchscreen music player was a good idea (I like to use them without having to take out pockets etc) but I actually like the iPhone and iPod touch quite a lot.

pretty sure there is hardware to add to get around the "no buttons music control"

and for all the people whining about the music setup, make a playlist, and push play, no need to be a serial song swapper

The fact that I can't sync the Touch with most of my playlists is only part of the problem. It also requires removing it from my pocket and making several clicks to do what reaching in the pocket and one click will do on other iPods. And it also seems to lose its place in the playlist at various times, like when its turned off or sometimes when an app crashes.

hmm, i have no such problems.

Lucky you. But I think you would agree that the Touch is not designed to be a music player, and its music interface is not as elegant and intuitive as that of other iPod models.

sounds like operator error. Get a regular ipod then if you dont like it

I have three iPods (Touch, Classic, Shuffle) that I use, and a fourth if you count my 20GB 2g which is now a Tiger backup boot drive. They all have different applications for which they are most useful.

I love the fact that I can lie in bed and surf the net without my laptop on my lap. I love the way that everyone give me jealous looks whenever I use it. I love the way that I can pee off my teachers. I love the way that I can get everything I need from my pocket. I love the app store. I love the BBC iPlayer on my touch. I WILL love the Bluetooth function on OS 3.0 ( that is happening right?)

Bassically, my touch is an everyday use with me, the ultimate gadget dmfor years and years to come.

I like that it pretty much functions as a laptop without having something sitting on my lap. It also allowed me to ditch my Dell laptop and get an iMac!! :D

Nope, I have the same 'playlist losing place' problem. I leave it to shuffle and halfway through it'll 'reset' so the current song is suddenly the first in the playlist, meaning tracks that have already played will play again even sooner then they should, which can be annoying. Nothing to do with the operator.

I actually love everything about it other than watching vids or listening to music. I think as an Ipod it's a pretty poor one. The Sound is flat, tinnny and unimpressive, for video the screen is dull, lifeless and pretty poor. Now beyond that it's a fantastic device. Gaming is better than I ever thought it would be. I read books on it and works fantastically with the Kindle App and Stanza. And I read Comic books on it with Comic Zeal. It's a fantastic PDA. I just wish apple would booster it's Ipod Functions.

I thought there touch screen would get all gummy and gross after contsantly touching it but it works great!

Peace people!!! lol just board!!! Tomorrow I go on vacation!! Cayman Islands here I come!!!:cool:

I love my iPod Touch for Everything!!! Has been rock solid in performance. It is with me all day. First thing in am check mail, RTM, Facebook, Tweet, APOD viewer for great photos, Thomson Reuter news and stocks, etc etc etc. Games, radio, controllers etc.
Best "computer" I ever bought

Well that's real embarrassing. After above post the iPod will not sync due to ("error -39"). First time I have ever had trouble. Hope it wasn't the "gods" trying to mock me. Any suggestions?

Besides the fact that it is Brilliant, Clear, smooth thin light, and I have the 2nd Gen 16GB so I can fit movies on there and watch them even though the screen is smaller it is crystal clear. The apps that are out there are cool, especially the Remote App, also Coverflow, Wifi, although I wish there was a way to Hide or move some of the standard apps, I never use the Youtube app and I would prefer to hide it, but it is a good handheld device for just about everything.

I would try to restore.:cool::cool::cool:

That's what I had to to do in the end. Also, had to do it as "new" one vs restoring from the backup data. The data must have become corrupt, but now all is fine. Thanks.

BTW what i love about my ipod touch is the fact that i just typed a post on macrumors in less than a minute
