It smells bad when people just spray an entire bottle of it into the air in a room. People my age really seem to have a fascination with aerosol spray bottles.

If they aren't making "axe bombs" out of them, or spraying it in the air, or at people, they are lighting the cans on fire and watch them explode.
exactly, its the crappy odor of them playing "tag" with spray deodorants of different scents fusing into on bomb of BLEH! :p

Bvlgari Green Tea Extreme

Sounds interesting. Is it just a name, or does it actually smell as interesting as it sounds?

And RL colognes (Romance), Fahrenheit by Dior, and Bvlgari (which I can't even pronounce :p ) seem the most popular so far. It's always interesting to know what colognes people like.

I have a bottle of Issey Miyake......the one in the white bottle, not the blue one. I like it, but was thinking of something more "formal."

ive been using axe and other cheap colognes. how can you tell if a cologne is of good quality? and what kind of smell gets the opposite sex? (yes i know, very broad...my bad)
I think that people left your question hanging because most people don't know how to explain why something smells better than another. ;)

However, I'll just say that I don't know what is a "good" smell, and what is "bad" when it comes to cologne, and that I only notice 2 types of colognes --- one is the lighter, fruitier smell, and the other is one that isn't as light. I guess it's like wine for many people, except I can actually tell the difference in some wines and can give an opinion. WIth cologne, I just trust what people on this site say. I bought my Issey Miyake after I noticed how many people in another thread recommended it. :p

I like to vary it with 4, basics:
Burberry London
Paul Sebastian
Swiss Army Altitude
Santos de Cartier

Anyone wear cologne everyday? I wear my Issey Miyake to uni sometimes, and people look at me and ask me why I'm wearing cologne, as if it's too "dressy"? "You're not going clubbing right now, man!"

Burberry Brit for Men. Don't wear it often... but it smells good.

Relatives keep me well stocked with cologne. My favourites are Chanel Allure Homme and Givenchy Pi. I've also got Calvin Klein Escape and Chanel Egoiste Platinum; the former is a favourite of my gf.

For me, I will go for a good old shower with nice body wash soap. I usually use the one with some type of moisturizer in it.

I cannot stand cologne and perfume as I get some allergic reaction from it by sneezing the heck out of nose.

This is from a guy's perspective. I think lots of female forum members have the totally opposite opinion.

Just for your info. If you are going for a job interview, it is recommended to keep cologne and other perfume to the minimum as you don't want to overwhelm with your interviewer(s) with smell. Of course, this is based on the assumption you don't need cologne to hide your bodily odor.

The old reliable 'Jazz' by Yves Saint Laurent

On special occasions my wife wears 'Angel' by Thierry Mugler. Now that is a smell to die for.

1. Banana Republic - Modern
2. Kenneth Cole - Black
3. Abercrombie - Fierce

I used to do 'Drakkar' noir but its so strong and overpowering... other random stuff.

I loved Egoiste Platinum.. but it wasn't for me. Givenchy Pi is so great.. it's another one I've almost bought many times and just never did.

I'm surprised to see the number of Allure people in this thread. I thought it was pretty unique - people always ask me what it is.

I usually rely on lotions because the scents are lighter for my sensitive nose. When I was younger, I would have a sneezing fit just walking through the perfume section. However, on occasion, I choose from the following:

- Amazing Grace
- Abercrombie Now (which is actually old)
- Carolina Herrera
- Perscriptives Calyx

Nothing too fancy.

The three that i am using regularly are these:

Burberry Touch
Channel Allure
Issey Miyaki

I've never worn an aftershave. I have a very poor sense of smell (I can only detect very, very strong scents) so I'm not too keen on wearing something if I don't know how it smells to other people. And of course if I can actually smell an aftershave it's a sign that it's a particularly foul smelling concoction and I wouldn't want to be wearing something like that anyway. :p

I agree with you. I have a very weak sense of smell so I'd be paranoid about the smell if I put on cologne or aftershave.

My wife is really into scents so she made me into an everyday cologne wearer.

Mostly I wear Givenchy Rouge, but also Bulgari Black or Kiton.

Not cologne but perfume... and I agree, I don't wear it everyday. Sometimes I just feel like it, and other times, if I know I'm gonna be out late or in a sort of 'going out' situation, I might spritz some in the morning.

no one wears "old spice" or "english leather"? ;)

Yeah, it's not something anyone would admit, but actually I like the smell of Old Spice.

I remember one called 'Hi Karate', in a similar vein - or worse. Wonder if they still sell that.

abercrombie fierce

That seems pretty popular here. I recently bought a bottle myself. Though I am ashamed I stepped into an Abercrombie & Fitch store, I finally found a scent I like (I'm picky about certain things, including cologne and shoes).

My (nearly) everyday cologne is Chanel Egoiste Platinum. Had it for a few years now and I have yet to find something I like more.
I recently found a bottle of Jaguar Classic for like $12 so I picked that up and I'm actually quite liking it. Just the fact that its Jaguar is good enough for me though...

Does anybody ever bother buying the matching deodorant and shower gel and stuff of their cologne? I've looked into it once or twice, but for the price of the Chanel deodorant you can buy about 6 regular deodorants in a regular store.

It was banned under international law as a weapon of mass destruction in 1979. I believe it is still sold on the black market under its trade name of Sarin.
