Hi,

On some threads, users share bad experiences with iOS 11 betas on iPhone 5S. What about the iPhone SE ? Did someone try the last betas on a iPhone SE ?

Thank you for your comments

It's running beautifully on my iPhone SE. Already have the iPSW file for iOS 11 GM downloaded. So ready to do a clean install. I've always done a clean install of all the betas.

Iphone SE is lightning fast via ios 11 pb’s.

Patiently waiting ios11 gm -maybe icloud messages will make a return this week -slightly concerned those who downloaded gm before official release have mentioned icloud messages haven’t yet returned.

It's been great, I'm currently running beta 10 and it's extremely smooth. The only issues I've had seem to be common among every other (newer) device running the betas. The phone seriously feels brand new, like I won't need a new iPhone anytime soon. Since it has an A9 chip and 2gb ram it should be good for the next couple years. The new iPhone X is going to be super tempting though... but I have no complaints.

Have been running iOS 11 betas on SE since PB3, working fine, no major complaints, apart from the battery life.

It's odd, but iOS 11, especially beta 10, runs smoother on my SE than the 7. Just my personal opinion though.

iOS 11 PB on my SE has working pretty flawlessly. I'm going to keep my SE on 10.3.3 and update my 7 for the time being, but you shouldn't have doubts about updating your SE.

Would love to hear from even more people about their experiences with iOS 11 -- speed, lag, battery life, slowdown areas, comparable performance, etc.

iOS 11 was decent to good for me on the SE. Performance was good and relatively snappy, though there was stutter here and there opening apps, and the overall snappiness was worse than 10. As for battery life, you'll be losing about 1/2 hour to an hour of usage (based on standby time, which eats up battery on 11). I downgraded to 10.3.3 because of how exceptionally smooth it is, but I think I'll be back on iOS 11 once .1 or .2 comes out.

honestly, am having an excellent time on my SE (btw, i have ALWAYS had 'reduce motion' on). so, happy with the speed, stability, and performance (even despite the few things i don't like on the new os). key word in this post: happy.

Very strange, for me ios10.3.3 was laggy every day and I had less battery on it, compared with ios11. Both formated and configured as a new iphone. Battery still very far away from 10.3.2 :(

I've noticed LOTS and LOTS of animation stutters and general glitchiness since installing iOS 11 GM on my SE. There's even odd delays when I'm typing things. Very bad so far.

When I turned reduce motion on there as no more animation stutter and the experience was great!

Hmm, that is odd. I just got my SE last month and it came clean with 10.3.3 the day I got it, so that might be it?

does the messages app in iOS 11 on the SE now feature contract photos in the message list when you open the app (like 7 and 7+)? Or is it the same plain list of names we've had since iOS 1.0?

Run fine on the 6s, which has the same CPU and same 2 GB RAM.

Running the GM on my SE and no glitches, no crashes, all seems well. I don't have a speed comarison test but that isn't all that important to me. All I can tell you is the GM on MY SE is smooth.
