Since I don't have 3G still in my area, I'm soooooo thankful for the upgraded wifi in the iPhone 4. I'm getting well over 10 at home and that is simply incredible for sticks.

My upload speeds are awful here this morning; download speeds not great but they improved somewhat when I switched from the St. Louis server to one in Chicago. Thank God for wifi. :)

I'm sure I'm one of those users affected by the data problems. Here's a few of mine from the last 3 days.

This is at work inside a room in an all metal warehouse near the airport. My signal is sporadic here.

I'm on the same boat. I called AT&T just now and they claimed it may be due to the MicroSIM card having a hard time getting a proper data connection in some area. I'll go have it replaced and see what happens. I was getting about 50-100KBPS download earlier at my home, not anymore.

Seems like the server you chose has a pretty big impact on speed. I was able to get the fastest down speed with a San Jose server. I'm pretty happy with the speed.

This was in Roseville, CA (just outside of Sacramento).

Got a screenshot of this?

1597 is WAY above the 1250-1270 that most have said is the highest rate actually achievable

I've seen 1500's. The fastest in my history log is 5668 kbps down, 1607 kbps up. My fastest up is 1664, but that was from July 1. Today I'm in the 1300's.

After seeing couple samples from your guys on the speed I noticed I don't have the att logo. Just the bars and 3G next to it. That's strange

Same here. I live about 45 minutes from Philadelphia and my region has the best coverage for 3G. Frustrated that's how I feel ...

If only I got a reliable 3G signal at my place in the middle of Silicon Valley. Fastest I have ever got is in the Apple Company store in Cupertino and that was 5MB down. I'm sure there were repeaters all over the place in Apple HQ.

I tried to attach to the original post...

My typical speeds are 800~1500 kbps DOWN and ~1000 kbps UP.

Guess I get more than the "highest rate actually achievable" then (1.57Mbps = 1604 kbps )

This is what I get inside my house pretty constantly and I live within 5 miles of the center of Seattle, WA

Meh. Very sporadic. Sometimes it feels like 200kbps to me...probably due to the laughable latency time.
