I see Camino as sort of the best of both worlds. You get the superior speed/rendering of Firefox and the MacOS feel of browsers like omniweb and safari. The only thing I think Safari does better is password management via keychain. Camino has been planning on switching to the Safari system but the patch keeps getting pushed back to later and later versions.

Camino was using the Keychain as far back as I remember. In fact, the development notes on Firefox 3 mention that they're intending to add that support from Camino.

firefox, i can control more with firefox, and those adblocks etc extensions, just gr8.

Correct, but Safari's use of keychain is far superior. The Camino group has been planning on copying the Safari implementation so that the passwords are interchangeable between the two browsers. The biggest issue Camino has with passwords is saving multiple usernames/passwords for single domains.

Shiira. Despite it's stupid authenticaion problems there is nothing better at smooth scrolling and overall speed on my G4 iBook.

Firefox for me, mostly because it's open source and I love my extensions.

Me too. Never really had a problem with Safari but once you've used Firefox and Adblock Plus, you can't go back.

I'm so frustrated trying to find a browser as of late. Every browser I find a problem with that irriates me.

Lately I've been using BonEcho (firefox optimized for Intel), Webkit nightlys, and Camino.

Safari is just......... blah. Locks up on too many pages. The other three I mentioned above mess up in other ways too. I don't know.

My fav. though was Camino, but some sites load messed up on it and if I have it opened a long time it doesn't load images and such, thus having to quit and restart it, which I shouldn't have to do.

nice, my vote just tipped the scales to Firefox by one vote.

I don't really care that much about the browsers. Safari seems the slowest but I like that it's the Mac browser, I used that for a long time, then I switched to Camino and was using that until Firefox 2.0 came out. I like the skins and extention things, and it def seems faster...

i use safari, i used to use camno but recently switched, in anticipation for leprod and being faster.

can we just make a sticky of a poll of this maybe? it seems to get polled every month.

True, but I think too many people would change their minds over time to make a permanent poll accurate. I voted Safari here based on its simplicity and how quick it launches, but I was tempted to vote Firefox 2 based on features and rendering speed (but I definitely wouldn't have been tempted to vote for Firefox 1.x even a couple months ago).

Safari and the WebKits are the fastest browsers. That about does it for me.

I used to use Webkit, but text box scrolling doesn't work in it, and I was talking to a developer on IRC today and they were acting like they have no idea/anticipation of fixing it. Very irritating problem.

Right now I'm actually using OmniWeb....... pretty cool so far. I wish I could retract my vote :)

i voted for safari, it loads really fast, and seems to load the pages faster than any other browser that i have tried.... I was using Firefox 2 on my windows PC, but once i got my MBP, safari does it,

One thing i dont understand is why all the other browsers that i have tried (firefox, shiira, Camino) seem to load all pages incredibly slow, safari loads them almost twice as fast, just doesnt make sense.... (kuz for me Firefox on PC was by far the fastest browser)

Omniweb

I like Omniweb. I wouldn't be using it if were still $30, but since they made it $10 this month, I downloaded it, tried it, liked it, and bought it. Very, very powerful browser.

I use IE on my dad's laptop becasue for him, only the "e" means internet.

I use IE on my iMac G3 (How can you people use iCab?) and firefox 1.5 on everything else. (Well, Opera sometimes) I just like how firefox seems "Lighter" then some other browsers out there. Even when I get a mini, I'm pretty sure I'll still be using da fox. ;)

Camino. I'm all old-fashioned and whatnot so I don't use RSS feeds and all that fancy hoopla, I'm just waiting for the stable version that'll utilize spellcheck. (I miss that about Safari, oh, and the pop-up dictionary, too.)

Firefox followed very closely by Safari. There are still times I use Safari, I just love having certain extensions that I have in Firefox. (i.e. FireFTP and FoxyTunes)

This week I'm using Safari. I've been switching between Safari and Firefox 2.0. Next week, who knows. I may try Omniweb since a few here seem to like it.
