I had an Incipio Matte black case, it was given to me when I bought a Used Iphone 4. Didn't appreciate it until I gave it to my nephew, and went to buy another one. The design has changed where the bottom os wide open, I don't like that. But looking back, I really liked that case, fit tight, bottons felt great and the matte finish was nice for getting in and out of pockets.

im hoping to get a knockoff Vapor Pro black ops soon.

Otterbox Commuter. No lint issues at all. A little bulky, but a small compromise for the great protection.

The InCase Snap (Smoke color), this is the one I always go back to. First got it through the 'Free Case Program' a while ago but I've been re-buying as needed. On my third one now, heh.

Where from? Last time I checked (InCase site directly), they only have a few colors like clear, pink, and other undesirables, no black or white. Are they trying to phase out this particular case?

Right now I have a speck candy shell flip so I can use my dock.

Other cases I have are a magpul field case & I think they are called replicases. It's a snap on thing that looks just like the back of the phone. It served me well :)

Otterbox Reflex

I got one for Christmas in gunmetal. It really looks good on the white 4S. It's extremely light, and thinner than the commuter. I've had 3 Commuters now, and the Reflex tops that and the other 9 cases i own. :p

For my first iPhone (3Gs), I tried several cases and settled on an iKonicEdge pouch and an InCase Slider. I'd switch them depending on which kind of mild protection I needed at the moment.

When I got the 4S, I stayed with that plan and got a pouch and slider for it.

The BookBook by Twelve South is my favorite case by far, though it depends on what you are looking for. The BookBook is great because it protects the phone a lot, is a wallet, made of high quality leather, and is just all around great.

For minimal protection I prefer the bumper. The bumper lets you see the beauty of the phone but protects it better than snap ons from small falls and scratches.

If you really care about protection and aren't interested in having a wallet or just don't dig the BookBook, the otter box defender is the best, though it is quite bulky. Cheers!

This is one of the cases I was most interested in. I was browsing some older threads on here and it seems like a lot of people have problems with lint, which I don't like.

Also I think it may be a little too bulky for my liking.

The commuter has flash problems. It's not horrible, but I use my camera a lot so it annoys me.

Correction: The Otterbox commuter HAD flash problems. Note the old/revised cases below. Look at the camera/flash opening:

I went to a verizon store one day at lunch and saw the OLD style... went to a different store after work and they had the new style. Snatched it up for ~$25.

Are you looking at the right model? Go here. All colors are available as of right now, including black/smoke. You can also find it at the Apple stores.

Yep, exactly right. If you've got the old version, you're gonna have flash issues. But with the new, bigger opening, no flash issues at all.

Negative, I have the new case and it has flash problems.

I'm sorry, then you're imagining it or putting it on wrong. The new design has ZERO flash issues.

agreed. Something else is wrong.

I have ZERO flash issues with the redesigned commuter case. Not to mention the oval cutout design is the predominant design for almost all new iPhone cases.

Otterbox Reflex. I have a Defender and have had a Commuter but Reflex is it.

I like it but the port opening is too small for me.

Granted it is quite easy to disengage the bottom part but I still find it a hassle when I want to use my car charger.

Nice case otherwise though and it doesn't have the stupid pointless apple logo hole in the back the other Otterboxes do.

Couldn't agree more with you. Received mine last week...it's a fantastic case. Why $6 though...mine was 3.95.
