My favorite has to be Kabob Palace

this website is silly http://www.mykabobpalace.com/

A Kebab fast food place with it's own fancy website? I mean, "fancy for a kebab restaurant."

In Heaven, are they all right angles?

You're being so obtuse.

I don't really even know what I want to say with that, but wanted to fit the word obtuse in a bad pun.

And they have a menu item called "Bender in a bun" with the catchphrase "Are you a big and bendy bender biter?", and you can't argue with that kind of marketing.

and then...

Not to the point of being my favourite restaurants

Righhhhhhhhhhhhht! :p

It's not mine really either... though I love a Wimpy burger. Thing is I could reel off the 10 coolest places to dine, thing is... like most things it depends on the mood I'm in. :D

Sometimes I crave a Wimpey burger, in which case Wimpy's is my favourite restaurant... etc etc etc. ;)

I read that phrase in the mid-nineties, and it will stay with me for ever more. :p I've never had a "bender", as it's some kind of hideous sliced hot dog thing, and frankly there's quarter pounders and spicy beanburgers to be eating. :D

Edit: No way! I just looked on their site and they've renamed it a "Frankfurter in a bun". Bastards.

Same here — there's no way I could list my favourite restaurant. There's too much good food around. :)

For a hangover burger fix though, Wimpy's is what you need. I can't remember the last time I had one, but now I rather fancy a bit of Wimpy action. :D

There is this Thai Food Restaurant about three miles away from my place. Holy cow it got me addicted to Pad Thai Noodles. :) Well actually there are two Thai restaurants by my house that both are very good. Then there's this place up in Frisco...

It's a place I've only eaten at once, but immediately jumped to the top of my 'best-meals-ever' list. Gary Danko, in San Francisco. Outstanding way to celebrate a special occasion.

For 'fast food', you can't beat La Super Rica Taqueria in Santa Barbara, a taco stand that Julia Child said was her favorite restaurant in the US.

Joss Sushi - Annapolis, MD
Rosemary's Thyme Bistro - Washington, DC
Chart House - Annapolis, MD
Crystal Hunan - Washington DC
Legal Seafoods - Washington DC
Macaroni Grill - Annapolis, MD
Laureol Plaza - Washington, DC
Bistro de Coin - Washington, DC

I miss living in DC. :(

Kabob Palace - go read the review :D

Its truly one of the best fast cheap foods in DC

D

Carrabbas...yes it's a chain, but the food is consistently good. They have this dish that has grilled shrimp and scallops in this lemon butter sauce...it's like there's an orgy in your mouth

An angle lost its wings and died, somewhere in heaven.

Now, McDonald's is no where near my favorite restaurant, but it's miles ahead of BK...(Wendy's, though, is the way to go if you need a cheap fast burger)

Favorite restaurant for me? Probably Del Frisco's Steakhouse :)

those are the steamed juicy dumpling things right? i love those...there's a place in NYC's Chinatown that does very good ones...hmmm....New Green River or something i think it's called.

-

other than that, my favourite place in NYC would have to be Convivium Osteria in Brooklyn, absolutely wonderful.

a childhood fave, The Peking Palace in Bedford, England...the BEST Peking duck anywhere in the world (as far as i know anyway!)

we'll be moving to Vegas in a few weeks so i may have a new fave very soon, tons of great places there.

I went to an Indian restaurant in Surfer's Paradise/Gold Coast that was so incredibly good. It had around a dozen awards hanging on the front wall for culinary excellence and contribution to the tourism industry or something. Funny thing was that the restaurant was only 20% full. I couldn't understand why.

Never been, if I'm ever in your neighborhood, think they'd lemme give it a try? :D

Argh. Can't pick one favorite restaurant; chefs change... and different restaurants are good for specific dishes. Guess, for where I live during the school year, Vasili's Greek Restaurant, and back home, a Chinese restaurant called Fatima or "mah-jiah-gwan."

OREGANOS

IS SO GOOD. If you are ever in Phoenix, Tempe, or Flagstaff, you need to check it out.

Here is the best pasta dish in the world:

Big Rig Pasta
A huge bowl of rigatoni pasta covered with a tasty tomato-chipotle cream sauce, chopped basil, diced roma tomatoes, Parmesan and a spicy finish. You'll want to form your own convoy! $7.95

BEST EVER. It is a pretty big bowl too, so there is plenty for leftovers. The dessert is really good too:

THE ORiGiNAL PiZZA COOKiE
Now this will knock your socks off! A 1/2 pound of Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, or Peanut Butter Chocolate cookie dough, slightly baked in a 6-inch pizza pan then topped with 3 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream. This baby serves 2-4. DO iT! $4.89

Oreganons is pretty good, but the very best restaurant of all time is Rula Bula, an authentic Irish pub in Tempe, AZ. Their bangers and mash and chicken pot pie are to die for, as are their chips and curry. Their Irish soda bread isn't quite as good as what my grandmother makes, but it's still pretty good. If you're ever in Southern Arizona you should check it out.
