I don't care which type. Put anything in sushi, and I'll eat it.

However, if the rice is good, the sushi will usually be good. :) If the rice is bad, then it doesn't matter what you put in there because it won't taste right.

Avocado, Shitake Mushrooms, and whatever the pickled radish is called, I've forgotten.

I'm a vegan, so, the whole fish thing isn't really my style.

edit: Oh and inari. I would probably have children with good inari.

I've got to have my wasabi and I use low-sodium soy sauce. :p

That might have been my ex and his friend's record then-- I think they ate 52 California rolls (each, they were competing against each other) And they specifically chose CA rolls 'cause it's more substantial than just nigiri. :p

I also had a plate of teriyaki chicken and some dessert! :p Take that, arteries!

Unagi, no question. Soooo good.

My favorite (at this point in time) is the Spicy Scallop Sushi at Hide Sushi in West LA.

Also, any of the sushi at Jinpachi in West Hollywood is top notch.

Ika (squid sushi) is my test of a sushi restaurant. Only the best sushi places have good ika. Many restaurants passed the test in Japan. Only a minority can pass the test in Los Angeles.

Hide Sushi is great.

I've enjoyed EN on santa monica blvd.....have you tried it?

I love Hide. The chefs know us by now, and I always sit at the bar. Last time I was there, the salmon sashimi was perfection.

I haven't been to EN yet.... didn't know about it, although I'm sure I've driven by a million times.

I've added it to my list. Thanks:cool:

Toro and soft-shell crab.

I wish there was a conveyor belt sushi joint around here (NE Fla). When I lived in Singapore, those where the best. Just pick the sushi you want off the chilled plates passing by on a conveyor belt. Doesn't sound as yummy (or fresh) as it really is.
