You're right that Chardonnay might have given it away for a lot of us who aren't particularly knowledgeable about wines. We may have learned basics about what to serve with meat or fish etc. and not much more!

Here's my latest puzzle.... not sure if I left too many clues in considering the crowd that hangs out in the community threads here.

  1. blue lake
  2. calima
  3. borlotto
  4. dragon tongue
  5. nickel bush

Are these beans? Do you require more specificity?
Beans, beans that grow from soil and are found in the bean family.

Close enough to good. Can take the boy (or girl) off the farm but...

They are all bush bean varieties. Can be picked holding the darn basket on either the right or left hand side. :D

I’m a farm boy but a pathetic one. Everything I plant dies like I watered it with Roundup.
[doublepost=1566350575][/doublepost]For example, a couple months ago I bought a scrawny basil plant at the market then stuck it in a big pot on the deck. Now for weeks I watered and talked to it and piped classical music out onto the deck speakers. It went limp and fell over. So that was it. I have given it the cold shoulder since. Not a drop of water or a civil word.

He/she definitely forgot Prudence.

Yes I'm curious about that list of names...

But Prudence...

I had a school roommate named Prudence once. Lawdy, I can't even...

She arrived with a chauffeur who lugged her stuff into the room. I had already settled in. She looked at the bare mattress on the other bed and asked when would the maid return to unpack things and make her bed. "And I have all these matching sweater outfits will get wrinkled if they're not unpacked soon."

Yep so it all kind of went south from there. There was a cleaner who once a week would change out the trash baskets, clean the lavatories in our suites, vacuum and dust the furniture. She most assuredly did not make beds or "unpack things".

The semester may have disappointed ol' Prudence in many ways, not least the walks down to the panel truck parked in the quadrangle where one acquired fresh bed and bath linens weekly, yes, even in the rain or snow. Life is hard and one must start learning that in college if never figured it out sooner.

It can bolt it’s way to the drive; it’s garbage day.
LOL, well it can be left to go to seed if you want to grow from seed. When it begins to bolt (flower), it needs less water. If you keep cutting the beginnings of flowers, you could reverse the flavor change and keep it growing. Eventually, given the right conditions, it'll turn into a woody bush with tender new growth. Usually happens in places where climate is good. California and Florida come to mind.

Judaic symbolism.

1. Angel - Exists in the religion.
2. Brick - Symbolic of the wall, specifically the excavated underground walls of King Soloman's temple.
3. Lilith - Evil demon in Judaism.
4. Mordecai - Big story revolving him and his refusal to acknowledge someone important.

5. Roland - This has me stumped. There's a poem called Song of Roland with strong Christian ties, but the event the poem is based on and the parties involved has no ties to the ancient Jews. Roland also isn't an anglicized variant of an ancient name either. There is a HUGE time gap between that song and Solomon.

This latter part I had to look up, but Charlemagne's throne was apparently modeled after biblical descriptors of Solomon's throne and method for expanding his control without being somewhere physically.

Or I've gone 'round the twist. Finally.

hmm. Not bad. It’s actually a list of the main characters of the borderlands games.

I'm intrigued but stumped after skipping past Angel at first, then seizing hope from Lilith and Mordecai and doubling back to Angel figuring I could hook those three together somehow if only satirically... but then I lost the thread entirely with Brick... and began to wonder about synths when I hit Roland, dispensing with efforts to connect Roland the historical military figure with the other buddies I was tying to corral up there...

SYNTHS I finally thought.... yeah, I haven't listened to any good electronic stuff in awhile... yep that's the sound of the ripcord as I bailed out of your list.

These are just the names of your all time favorite cats, right? Or gerbils? A great collection of names either way.

I’m intrigued by the number of different responses to everyone’s lists. But this list is actually just a list of the main characters in the borderlands game series.

I’m still waiting for that blanket you promised for Christmas two maybe three years ago. Maybe pull that project back out?

Hail i thought you were talking about a big text wall, better than a gross bottles of ambien (and so figured that was long since paid off).

I promised you a quilt? I must really have OD'd on coffee that day. I got a postage stamp quilt I'm making, I think it only needs about 20,000 more 1.5 inch squares sewed onto each other to finish it.

I obviously can't promise that one to anybody though, some poor soul at the quilt guild will inherit the finished blocks and a raft of the tiny scraps with which to complete it. I hauled it out last year sometime in the late summer and added about 500 squares to it just to be able to tell my sister I was working on my UFOs (Un Finished Objects)... it's just black, blue, white print scraps with a dash of color tossed in now and then for some sparkle. Quilts like that were popular back in the early 30s when no one had much in the way of leftover shirting or dress fabric scraps to make fancier block patterns with.

That’s so awesome. UFOs...haha! Yes you said I was right after you finished up making them for Christmas. I knew I should have printed that message!

Wow. we've been the frog in the pot all this time, who knew. One barely remembers the first little bubble, first frisson of something on the verge of completely switching up our lives together. I remember when I was trying to think whether to try to wasteland one for giggles or just call the police lol.
