naw, thats pretty awesome that you know all that.

so mine is a blue tabby? (guessing since thats the one that mkrishnan edited)

Yup, the nice slate grey/grey stripes on that purty buff background (which looks like its mostly on the belly). What a cutie!!!

And for your question, it would just be called a Domestic Short Hair. Getting down to a "mix" isn't very likely unless you know for a fact what a parent was. For example, I have a maine coon mix (sorry, no pics, long story). I call him a maine coon mix instead of a Domestic Long Hair because I know his mother was a purebred maine coon. Daddy is whoever the little hussy let hump her when she ran away for 3 days ;).

Another siamese lover! Great cats- I love my little girl to death.
Oh yes, they are wonderful! Is your kitty chatty? Mine sure is! Whenever I call out her name and stretch out the syllables ("Lllliiiiilllllyyyyyyy"), she'll retort back with a really long, really loud howl! I was just telling my mom yesterday that someone needs to invent an immortality drug for pets, because I just don't know what I'll do when she's gone.

thanks for that info, i got him from a shelter so i have no idea about his parents, always curious though. :) and when you finally have pics i'd love to see yours too.

That's so great!!!!! I love to hear when people adopt cats. When the CFA has shows close to my home town the local animal shelter brings some of their potential adoptees over and enters them in the household pets category. Its shuch a nice thing, and usually the kitties have new forever homes by the end of the first day. :)

i got zep from the Anti-Cruelty Society in chicago, they're a great place. my family has gotten two dogs from them before as well. almost all the animals find great homes and are well taken care of.

Yeah, that's not my cat! Although it is a very cute one. :p

My boy, Iago, has (correct me! ;) ) a silver spotted tabby coat and the other, my girl, Houdini, is black and white... Or what's the difference between silver and "blue?"

Hehe, yep, that sure is a silver spotted tabby, a very beautiful coat! A blue tabby would have a more "buff" or "beige" color around the mouth and on the belly and a more slate grey colored stripe or spot. The nice light grey around the mouth on your baby is a dead giveaway for a silver tabby. My personal favorite coat color and pattern is the silver classic tabby. Houdini is a solid black with white (technically).

Cute cute cute, that's all that matters!!!! ;)

She definitely talks when she wants you around! Pet me! NOW! :) Really though, I love mine. She's an absolutely delightful animal. Well-behaved and loving and not too needy.

My girlfriend and I adopted our two cats from the AZ Humane Society.

I LOVE my cats. I love the color pattern on Richie (the cat I already posted). Here is my other one, Margot. She's older now, but it's hard to get a picture of her. She usually sleeps under the couch or bed and runs away when we try to take pictures of her.

Aw, cute!

Mind if I join?

The red rebellious guy, who likes pissing in the shower & bathtube is "Pieps".

The lady in tiger fur, who purrs all the time, is very curios and even comes to every stranger is "Fago" (after my favourite font).

I don't have a picture of my 3rd cat on my HD, but here are the other 2.

Also, can't find the better version of the first picture...wish I could.

Black = Twitch
White = Star
Not Pictured = Bean (all black)

Can I show mine too?

Howie was brought into the hospital where I work with a bullet in his right hind leg and his femur shattered. His owners at the time pleaded no money, and because of his stellar personality, we agreed to amputate his leg for an obscenely low cost rather than euthanize him. So I amputated his leg, he recovered very well,... and the deadbeats never came back to get him (and needless to say, never paid their bill), never answered any phone calls, and even refused to sign the certified letter sent their way warning them that their cat would be considered legally "abandoned". I can't say I mind all that much however because he obviously came home with me, and he now enjoys the cushy life, bossing around my dog, my husband, and me. We fell in love with him from day one and cannot imagine life without him. Ever.

Well since were all sharing here are our 5 cats, abiyng87 feel free to ID them please! :)

Aunt's Cats:

2. Rudy - She found him where she worked as a little kitten (eyes were still closed), and raised him, now he weighs like 20Lbs :) He likes a good butt rub LOL

3. Cleo - She belonged to a friend, but didn't get along with them, and like my Uncle, so they took her. She loves me for some reason :)

4. Squeeky - Also found where my Aunt works.

5. Nunzio - Not sure where she got him, the pic sucks, but he hides in the basement like 24/7 :) The few times he ventures upstairs, if you so much as look at him, he runs away :)
