He uses a Twentieth Anniversary Mac. It's just so sleek and beautiful.

In the interview with Gates at all things digital (i think thats what it was called), he said he carried a Macbook Pro. Gates said he used a tablet pc.

I'd guess he probably has a Mac Pro on his desk at home too.

I'm pretty sure he has ever Apple product available in his house, and a heck of a lot of secret things too. I wouldn't be surprised if he reads these boards for fun. "What computer does Steve Jobs use?" SJ: "Wouldn't you like to know." I mean really, I bet he has an actual iHome... heh, get it? I wish I was SJ... he gets all the secret Apple products

My guess is either a 15" MBP or a 12" PB. SJ is the CEO, he doesn't do design work, he doesn't make presentations at staff meetings; people try to convince him to do things; he is the boss, therefore he doesn't need a workhouse computer, just something to carry around and do basic work on. (But then cost is no issue and it must be tempting to always get the newest model. So any one of us who have ordered a refurb machine could have gotten an ex-SJ computer.)

Steve Jobs "work" involves showing up and speaking at keynotes, and sending emails. He doesn't "work". And I doubt he really has a personal machine, he probably has assistants that take care of most things.

I actually bet that Steve himself visits Macrumors VERY frequently to see what people are saying. eventhough they probably have a whole team for that I'm sure that he still cares, because the true mac fans like those on this website give valuable feedback. I wouldn't even be surprised if he had his own username and password!

That would be so wierd is Steve actually looked on these websites and actually took our feedback.

Perhaps he's already posted on this thread! Probably one of the sarcastic posts.

He's known to read the Fake Steve Jobs blog, and today the NYT said they had an IM conversation with him about the unmasking of the real editor, so presumably he uses something that has IM. Imagine having Jobs on your IM contacts list.

(In reality, it's probably the contact of an office admin, who set it up then handed over to SJ for a few minutes.) :apple:

I think for a guy like Jobs, he would probably have a main portable machine for running around to other peoples' offices and departments, yet have a few desktop workstations for his use in his offices here and there. Link them all up with .Mac so you can connect to your other machines over the 'net and you're set - you can be wherever you need to be and get all the files you need.

Funny how Jobs' uses for the Mac seem to be exactly the sorts of things that Apple are good at making!

He probably has a 17" Powerbook on his desk at home, maybe an Apple TV and of course his iPod HiFi. I really doubt he needs more than that.

(Although you've gotta think he has a room full of glass-cased prototypes and first editions like the 128k Mac and the iMac G4)
