Wow that is a nice bag but $170 is a lot even for this expensive computer
I was also wondering what folks are using to protect the superdrive. Wish they made a neoprene pouch for that too 6x6 would work
Do you carry around your superdrive that much? Other than installs I barely ever use a CD/DVD drive.
I think Waterfield also makes MacBook Air sleeves with a smaller footprint...
my macbook air leather case, looks like the one from apple commercial.![]()
Is there something like the aluminum bag that a user posted (the secret agent one) but in the form of a smaller enclosure, case, not a bag per se, I am looking for something that will be less of the merely aesthetically pleasing, light padding mba covers, but an actual enclosur that will protect from bumbs, hitting things etc.
I prefer to use my actual bag than a computer specific one and thus I want something strong to put the air in and not worry about it rubbing or hitting abrasive material or drops of the bag.... Do the polyurethene sleeves offer any impact protect other than just the scratch protection?
Hands down the best bag around for the MBA (and I've been through many notebook bags in general) is this Wenger compu-folio.
If you take out their spiral notebook thing you can put your own in. It holds the Air nice and snug and there are reports that there's enough room for a magsafe, a 15" MBP and an Air (just to give you an idea of the size).

I just got this bag for work. It fits really well.

I got it for $175-44% one day sale that they kept on having over the past few months.
You're the second person to mention that bag, and I love the look.
Is there any padding for the MBA? How's the fit? Room for anything else?
The site you link to doesn't really provide much information on the bag's features, at least they aren't overly clear to me.
Thanks!
