I chose a MacBook white, the 2.4 GHz version, ten months ago. I did it because of the price: computers are very expensive in my country (Brazil) due to very high taxes on electronic products. I bought the MacBook (the one which cost US$ 1,199.00 in US) for a price tag of over US$ 2,000. The price of a MacBook Pro was really prohibitive: the cheapest one would be about US$ 4,000, so it was not really an option.

I got mine because I wanted something that would exceed my needs. Since my needs are minimal, I eschewed the MBP.

Unibody 2.0.

Gotta find a way to unload my plastic body MB though. Then I'll go for the monitor upgrade and be exponentially happier.

i am soon to be the macbook air because I love the sleek stealth look and it is perfect for taking to class

Previously a 2.0ghz unibody macbook... Now a 2.4ghz unibody macbook... (because the hiss on headphones of first one) and since I can't see without my glasses on anyways, the screen is fine. :) I hate intel graphics... and I guess I'm a whore for good looks too :)

2.4 Ghz "Early 2008" MBP

The dedicated video card really does make a big difference in my computing, particularly for video and photo work. However, I still love the MB form factor.

Black MB 2.4.
It was my first mac, i have loved. Very annoyed that the new macbooks came out only 3 months later, but oh well. I got it for school work as i was tired of using crappy PCs.

2.4ghz Unibody MacBook delivered this very day, i needed a new laptop and considering every time I use windows Vista I end up wanting to smash the computer I ended up going for a mac, which I'm very very happy with so far, especially the keybard which is incredible!

2.4 ghz, 4GB RAM. Maxed out baby. My first laptop (but not my first mac) and I love it.

2.0Ghz Unibody/glassbook Macbook. Love the new look, the nVidia graphics are more than adequate for my needs, and I am pumped that I can finally drive dual-link DVI monitors with a Macbook (shouldn't have sold my 30" LCD after passing my MBP to the wife).

Kinda wish I would've kept my last gen blackbook since they are now instantly classics. :)

Can't wait for iMac's to be updated with the new MDP. 24" iMac spanning to a 30" LCD would be awesome.

Black MacBook; 2.4GHz, 4GB, 250GB. The last of its kind. It also has a green Apple logo on the reverse of the screen, and a black power lead (home made)

I hope this MacBook runs like my PM6200 and lives forever!

MacBook Core Duo, 2 GHz, White. Despite being a Rev A with more than a few repairs over the years, I've loved this computer. It's traveled with me to a lot of remote locations and served me well. I hope it lasts another year or two, because it does everything I need.

I am a 2.4 Unibody MBP  I used to be a 2.2 WhiteBook, but made the switch because mainly the new machines are just SEXY, but I went for the Pro because I never know when I'll need the extra power :p
But soon I'm hoping to be a Rev A refurb MBA as well :p The 13" is just much better for traveling.

I chose the MacBook 2.1Ghz because I didn't need the extra power from the two higher models of the time. It was in May 2008, so it was a recent update at the time.

White MacBook november 2007 refresh 2.2ghz 2gb ram and 120gb HD. Very happy with it

I bought a 2.4GHz MacBook aluminium a month back to replace my Rev A Black MacBook.

I chose the Black MacBook because I was excited about finally a 13" widescreen 'book being released and black being back. (It's now powering my "media centre" with EyeTV and Front Row).

I chose the 2.4" Aluminium because going from 2GHz blackbook to 2GHz MacBook Alu equaled no speed increase my head :p (I know, I know, Core 2 Duo is faster than Core Duo etc but the numbers were the same!!!). 13" was the main requirement and after looking at the Air the price was a little too much for what you get.

I bought my Blackbook while I was on vacation in my hometown. The Dell took a dive on me, and I wanted another computer. That I thought was the perfect time to switch to a Mac, and I have never looked back ever since.

So far I have had it for over a year, and it's running as good as the day I bought it

White 2.4GHz Penryn

why did I choose this specific model?

- FireWire 400
- Black MacBook looks like a PC
- I got it for $725 in perfect condition
- Cheap replacement parts
- Easily servicable
