We are pretty much an Apple household, but iPad is one thing we haven't bought, and for a single reason that most people obviously don't care about (since it's selling like hotcakes) - screen resolution. 1024x768 on a 10" screen is just too low for me, and there is a distinct lack of sharpness to the screen, compared to the Honeycomb tablets. I can't wait for iPad 3 and its awesome DPI, but for now, my Galaxy Tab 8.9" works, even if it is nowhere near as polished. If you don't care about the current iPad's screen resolution and DPI, then by all means go for it.

Pretty much everything.

The super responsive screen, thousands of apps that make almost everything possible to do on it, beautiful design, etc

The only thing i wish i could do on an ipad that i cant do is download torrents. But its not that big of an issue to turn on my home pc via Wake app, set up my pc to download something via torrent with Splashtop app and transfer it back wirelessly to my iPad.

The apps are what make iPad so magical.

If you have a Synology or QNAP NAS there is a BT app.

I have to wonder why you're considering anything else BUT the iPad at this point, since you've already bought into the eco system. All your music, apps, etc. will already work on the new iPad. Plus, you will already have a good grasp on how to use it.

I would also do what someone else suggested and go test drive both tablets. You will immediately see a difference in smoothness of how the operating system runs. Android is just not as solid as iOS. It's evident on phones too--the laggy menus and animations drive me absolutely batty on Android. Even a simple screen swipe is sometimes jittery.

It comes down to this--do you want an iPad, or do you want one of the myriad of other models that is trying desperately (and failing) to copy the iPad?

Well, i'm one of the few that will return my Ipad2 for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Why?? Well for all the things ipad can't do.

Flash, reads any media file, file tree, customizable, weight, reads large powerpoint files, acts like a real pc, torrents download enabled, week numbers in stock calender, plug and play download files from pc, screen resolution, better camera and the list goes on.
