this would have to be one of the most underrated movies of the 90's - especially if one is american.
[it be most insightful for us aussies with an interest in the american way of life]

Alien 3 (1992)

Assembly cut is way better than many would give it credit for. Fox's executives hired David Fincher and should have trusted him,not needlessly interfered with what they thought was just a young director that they could push about. Had Fincher been given the courtesy to complete his vision the film would have likely been a standout as is the original...

slightly off topic but … you get the point.
so many classic comedy movies wouldn't be allowed to be made or released in this day and age :'(
and how on earth quentin tarantino (a cracker) got away with his overuse of the n****r word in the modern era is beyond me.
at least lenny bruce had the right idea, back in the day.
keep using offensive words and eventually they lose their power to insult

One of the most stupid films I’ve seen in a while, little explanation to what is going on, only pure theory. They try to rely on the acting skills of the brilliant cast, but the story lets it all down. The ending is just cheesy.
Indiana Jones on Disney Plus on Friday so I’ll watch that next.

most people agree, if I hear that word, the movie is turned off.

also defending Forest Gump as a deserving Oscar winner that year to a millennium got very tiring.
Just the cinematography outperformed any movie that year.

I did think that, plus all white cars too, and considering one of the lines in the film is suspect that was deliberate to send a message. Rubbish film all round.

Just watched Barbie Movie.

Actually pretty good in an existential crisis way. Ryan Gosling stole the show.

It raises some deep and intellectual questions. Worth a watch
you are 'taking the piss' right?
it was pure unadulterated DEI rubbish.
puke level 8/10.
margot and gosling obviously did it for the money.

I'm new to this thread, but if this is what goes on here, I'll take it off my watch list.
I don't believe that putting others down because their views on a movie are different than yours is what should be going on here. We should be able to agree to disagree in a CIVIL way.

we never banter like this, this thread is always informative and can save someone an hour or two.
95% of the posts are 6 word sentences, mostly adjectives, flooded by a movie poster

personally I should never have added my 2 cents on a factor about a movie.
im surprised that was not cleaned up.

I watch a movie a day, sometime 3 and was thinking about a daily post here.
but that could be stale.

If only I had the time to watch 3 a day sigh. Ag least last weekend I had on on the background Home Alone 1 then 2 and last night had Die Hard on, but fell asleep during it lol. But that’s a few Chrimbo films done.

I mostly turn off most of them and need to catch up on older ones
since I rarely went to he cinema unless I took someone
as I did with Home Alone with a nice Christie K in 1990 when that movie was released.

I recommend that Amy documentary, she could sing and was talented which I did not know.

What you cite is not the norm for this thread. Some posters as your example may get a little over excited, but this is definitely not the norm, civil reviews, civil disagreement when they happen for the most part.
