The Hunger (1983)

A stylish vampire thriller, well worth the watch. Artistic, deep and poses questions with a different take to most...

Q-6

2 average aging actors trying to regain some of their youth with average attempts to be funny at the same time.
probably the worst movie either have made - and each have been in some pretty darn good ones in the past …
4.5 out of 10 for mine.
would appeal to sub-25 age group methinks
I think Wolverine, Deadpool and Electra all looked great. No complains about that.
No this was not a 'good movie' it was a funny, hilarious and ridiculous movie.

I recently watched Deadpool 2 for the first time. I couldn’t finish the first one. I think what kept me watching it was Josh Brolin. I’m really not much of a fan of Ryan Reynolds but his performance in DP2 was passable. He had a few good moments. I’m just not a fan of the hardcore, gory action flicks. I honestly wish I could unsee it.

I do not care what anyone else says I throughly enjoyed this film, it was a blast and was very close to the games humour. It was more of a live film of Tales From The Borderlands, but IMO a brilliant film, should have been longer though. Shame their most likely will never be a sequel.

Does it start out with the main character riding on a bus to a settlement on Pandora (not Avatar‘s Pandora) and meeting a little robot named Claptrap? 🙂 I played a lot of the game with my grandson and enjoyed it. We were always fighting over weapons because of their specs. 😉

The game or one of them starts with the bus, it's where you select your character from to play as. And it's the bus driver who gives the narrative at the beginning so the film changed some bits around but it's pretty close.

Deadpool & Wolverine. It is an interesting film, cinematically. There are a gazillion easter eggs, of which I think I picked up on about 20%. It is not a film for the more delicate soul, nor for the younger viewer.

Is it a 'Good Film', one which will make you a better person? No.
Is it likely to become cult classic. Almost certainly.
Should you spend a lazy Saturday afternoon watching it instead of the local lawn bowls championship? Up to you.

Had great hopes for this one. Tries to be funny but don't think I laughed once. Plot (guy wants to get back with girl) has nothing really interesting, new, or creative.

Was very much a spectacle on release and still stands up in the lost footage genre. They learnt from the master, Orson Wells - War of the Worlds (1938) a radio broadcast that fooled a nation...

Mercury Theatre online - Including War of the Worlds and many others from the period.

Just saw 12 Monkeys. I'd been interested in this movie for a while, but only watched it today because it showed up for free on my TV's built-in LG app. What an interesting, bizarre, surreal, and ultimately sad film. It makes me want to see more of Terry Gilliam's work.

Damn! That’s a clear message it flopped. Sadly here in the UK it’s not available for purchase, yet.

I thought it was a fun flick, but then I also remember watching the original episodic TV series when it originally aired, so the nostalgia effect was there...
