i just finished … the Return
i watched it so that you don't have to.
boring as all get-out, not to mention hammy.
lame script and even lamer acting.
it's been a long time since i've seen such poor fare.
that said, Ralph Fiennes adds some gravitas to it all and he is in very good shape for his age - 62 or so?
other than that - pffft.

Epic cold war thriller, one not to be missed...

Don't need to be that mean about it lol. It's alright, I like how the poster image is completely fake as that is never in any of the scenes.
At the end, the city gets flooded and there is a scene of a woman running away from the tsunami before it kills her.

In the past few days with the offspring here, we have watched/rewatched Red One and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

Both decent movies, although the reviews for MoUW aren't great.

Watched this last night. This is without a doubt a masterclass movie that should be mandatory for every single film class on the planet. I know.. I know.. A masterclass? Seriously? Yep. This is probably one of the best examples of how a pretty good script can be utterly destroyed by a director trying to make the film be more artsy by dragging out what should be at most a 1.5 hour long movie into over 2 hours. So.. many.. scenes.. just lingered and lingered. We don't need 30-60 seconds of a character screaming and crying. We don't need multiple 30-60 second drone shots. We don't need full song/dance routine sequences. Great premise, some really great gore, but my god this was one of the most tedious, boring horror movies I've seen lately.

L’ Incroyable Hulk (2008)- Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Willian Hurt, Tim Roth. Maybe because I’ve had a crush on Liv Tyler, since Armageddon (1998), but this is a worthy Marvel Hulk entry near the beginning of the Infinity Stone Saga. Not the first Hulk (2003), a sequel. I like Ed Norton, loved him in The Illusionist and was sad he got himself basically banned in Hollywood, my understanding over creative differences, but what do I know? It’s a shame Tyler did not move forward as The Hulk’s love interest. 🤔
