Same here. Works great scanning through photoshop as well, though I've found that every printer manufacturer's software (which I have to do if I'm going through Photoshop) is terribly clunky and crappy to use compared with how elegant and effortless Image Capture is. It's basically better than all software that isn't standalone image scanning (like, say, Vuescan); I haven't tested any recent versions of that. I also couldn't speak to the scanning capabilities of Mac Photoshop competitors such as Pixelmator or Acorn, but it may be worth looking into.
