Based on my hastily scratched notes, here are the changes in Watch OS 26:
Liquid Glass
Workout Buddy
Improved workout layout
Workout music integration
Improved smart stack
Smart Stack Notification
Wrist Flick (to dismiss)
Live Translation
Notes

Out of this list, what interests you the most? I'll admit, I am in the xDKP camp, that is, disappointed. Maybe I just don't realize how useful one or more of these changes will be.

Only notes and smart stack

bruh aint it....

Have you installed and can share some screenshots?
Yes and bruh it took away Apple Watch Series 4 classic faces like Liquid Metal, vapour and fire/water. For no reason.

Ain’t no way I can downgrade without a spare Apple Watch to wear on if I had to send in my s6 to downgrade.

Sure here you go.

My request for years has been to use the ringtones on my freaking phone. It's a little thing, but it's a thing.

I think there will be some more extra features that will be introduced when the new watches are released in September. What they're showing now may be just some of the features. When the new watches are released with new hardware/sensors, they will enable more exciting workout/app features.

Yeah new watches have often had some new watch faces and features of course. Hopefully some of them will flow down to the rest of the watches like they usually do.

That’s why and all Apple Watch faces they release with the new Apple Watch models , they are universally made so all watches can have it. Only time if they are restricted 🚫 to a certain series or model is if it’s an ultra face, or if it uses the edges of the screen like Contour.

Right, but there's no good reason why some of the "ultra" faces should be exclusive (besides them wanting you to spend more money). The Series 10 has a screen as big as the Ultra and a CPU better than the Ultra but it doesn't have access to the "Ultra Modular" watch face. A watch face layout that would be standard on any other digital watch with the digital time in the center. Endlessly frustrates me.

We can definitely speculate on that too!

A series 10 user on my beta thread mentioned that a 46mm watch could have the ultra modular and way finder faces.

Even though the series 10’s bezels are there, there’s still plenty of space for a lot of complications.

The Series 10 as the same CPU power as an Ultra 2 or Series 9.
The S10 chip is the same as the S9 with just a different layout to fit in Series 10.

The screen is smaller on Series 10, it looks roughly the same but you don't fit as many things as in an Ultra as its height is smaller.
Apple also needs to give some advantages to Ultra to make it more appealing for power usages.

Small personal history related to AW Ultra and Apple ecosystem:
Last Sunday I have done a trail running race: duration 8h30
I have ran with my app (of course), but at the end, Apple health notification: "Bravo, vous avez bien commencé la journée, continuez comme ça !" :D
You can translate from French if you want to discover this clever tip :D
I can't wait to hear Workout Buddy notifications!

That doesn't change the fact that the S10 could easily handle any computation for a watch face the Ultra displays.

It's 6 pixels. They could easily make it work.

They already do that with a more rugged case, superior battery life, action button, etc. A watch face layout that is standard on any other digital watch should not require purchasing the most expensive watch geared towards extreme athletes. It's absurd.

Siri as a watch face widget/stand alone app. I wear my watch on my left hand so I have to turn push to talk to Siri off or else I bump her ALL the time working out.
