DO NOT get the Targus case that is sold on Amazon. They say it is good for the three but the magnet does not work for putting the pad to sleep.

I got the STM skinny 3 today, it is labelled as for the iPad 3 instead of new iPad, but the case is a perfect fit.

I got brown, and it looks sexy on my white iPad.

Where did you find the Skinny 3?

I just got the Zerochroma and I'm loving it. Cost around $50. It's not a hard shell it's soft or gel case and has a kick stand that rotates. Fits no problem on the new iPad and has a smart cover cut out.

I don't like the hard shells. I paid $30 for a frogz one that lasted 3 month and the started breaking around the edges for no reason.

I love the Targus Versavue 360 even though the magnets do not work in this initial production batch for the version corresponding to the iPad 3.

Targus is evidently working on it, but it's not a deal breaker for me since I'm not crazy about cases with magnets and the versatility of this case is amazing.

I recycled the Snugg case from my iPad 2. Still fits perfectly and the magnet-activated cover works fine (maybe better than it did on the iPad 2 perhaps).
Only complaint I have is the volume-down rocker is hard to get to.

Marware microshell folio
Love it on my iPad 2

Same here.

As that case is not yet available, I went with the Apple Smart Cover and Artwizz SeeJacket Clip in black (great, great texture, very great to hold and grip). And if I just want to read, I just snap of the smart cover and there is nothing flapping around. I like this even better than the microshell folio, even though the new solution is twice as expensive.

Did the camera hole lineup and is there enough space around the camera??

Yes and yes!

:)

That's the one I got, but the sleep/wake didn't work. I really liked the case, so I carefully cut through a few of the stitches and reversed the magnet. Then it only worked if I applied enough pressure to the cover to activate the sensor. Then I removed the magnet, enlarged the area where the magnet was and inserted a larger magnet from an old refrigerator magnet. I glued the felt back in place and used some white thread with the existing stitching holes to complete the finished look. Now it works like it should and looks like it did. This is a very nice case.

Went with the Acase Concept Hard Shell Case Folio off of Amazon. Not an unheard of company, covers front and back, doesn't cover the bezel, has a stylus holder, and supposedly (according to one review so far) supports the sleep/wake function.

Check out my thread to see how I miraculously knocked the price down from $25.79 to $14.34 and still had it Prime eligible :D

Got the Targus Vuscape and I like it. The magnets do work. I also have a Incipio Lexington on order.

I am looking for an incase sleeve like they have for the MacBooks at the apple store. You know the zipper ones that have the microfiber inside and are zipper closed. I have the smart cover but I want the same sleeve that I have for my MacBook. Does anyone know if they make these?

Well since the New iPad is virtually the same size as the iPad 2, I just kept my original case, which is the Book Jacket by InCase (link below). I may get something in the following weeks however when some new cases are released but for now the Book Jacket is perfect.

Can personally vouch that the Book Jacket fits the new iPad. It adds too much bulk for my personal taste but it will fit. There's a wee bit of misalignment with the bezel guard. You'll notice it mostly down by the home button (button won't be centered in the cutout...more to the side of it).

Wow, that's a lot of aftermarket rigging to get something to work.

I tried this at Best Buy yesterday. Pulled the SmartCover off my new iPad, put it into the Vucase and closed the cover. iPad turned off. Opened the cover, iPad turned on. Repeated this several times. Worked flawlessly.

You must have had a defective Vucase.
