I think that most people who have commented here misunderstood his intention when mentioning teenagers. I think he is simply stating for their lifestyle, if preferred, what they would choose. Which is the "future" of smartphone usage.

Sounds like most people here took it personally.

It's actually coming off more as a discussion about size relating to status symbol of some sort than anything else, at the very least that's how it comes off in the beginning (if not even later in the thread too). Which seems to be what quite a few people have taken it as and commented on.
