os9.2.2 for:

* Photoshop Elements
* GoLive 5 (for learning via GL5 Bible & GL5 VQS)
* Canvas 6
* Strata 3D
* Marathon, M-Durandal, M-Infinity, M-Rubicon
* Norton Antivirus

&

* watching DVD's, as osX doesn't show the full image, with green bars above and below the film.

osX.1.4 for:

* GoLive 6 (actual web development)
* LiveMotion 2
* AppleWorks 6.?
* Quicken 2002
* Palm Desktop (where's the Handspring support?)
* SETI@home CLI (macRumors, of course!)

If only if only if only... Strata made a fully osX version of their wonderful 3D package, I'd toss PE, get PS7, ignore Canvas (it's a bit too weird), and add 512mb to my iBook and be rather happy.

For now, I use OS 9 for the following applications:

Strata 3D Base 3.5 (I know how you feel, pimentoLoaf, I want it OS X native chop chop!)

Pacific Tech Graphing Calculator 2.2

Photoshop 6 (I still want 7 bad, but we are having other issues...)

I use OS X for...everything else! I play games, surf the web, download music, draw 2D graphics, and word process on OS X 10.1.3 for the half gigahertz Cube.

I might upgrade to 10.1.4, but I want to find out how many people feel about improvements from 10.1.x to ..4.

I spent some time on Strata 3D Pro back a few years ago, actually it was my main 3D app, but I've since switched over to Lightwave, which is sooo much better. I haven't played with the newer versions of Strata, so I was wondering what you guys are doing with it?

Actually, I do not use Strata 3D Base that much. I just wanted some free 3D software so I can make people at class jealous. :) People have guessed that it was $400, $700 maybe, somewhere around there, when I told them I had a 3D modeling program. I should try it again one day.
